Hello, I'm Chardonnay, but you can call me Char. (Yes, Chardonnay just like the wine. My dad named me after falling in love with a bottle.) Professionally, I own and manage a marketing and public relations firm so I work remotely, and I love to travel. I love cats, small dogs and plants so any cozy house with or without some life that could use some love and care is a good fit for me.

Why they want to house sit

Recently, I gave up my apartment because I was traveling too often. Leaving my apartment empty and unattended for a week or two every month became frustrating. I know all too well the reality of coming back home to dust, thirsty plants, and an overstuffed mailbox. I gave up my comfort to embrace the travel season I am in, so if I can make someone else's travel life easier, while gaining an authentic, local experience by housesitting, it's win-win!

Yes. I have only one year of experience but I have been hired as a nanny, which included bringing a child home, fixing dinner, and doing light housekeeping. I have also done some pet sitting for colleagues and friends while they were traveling.

What can they bring to the assignment

Since I am an entrepreneur, I also possess excellent planning, communication, and administrative skills so if my host also has other needs while traveling, I may be able to fill in those gaps. I would be happy to help as an assistant to attend meetings and take notes or file, shred, and organize documents.
