I am recently retired after 46 years of leading schools internationally, and now have the freedom to combine my love of travel with the opportunity to serve others through house sitting. My wife, Marguerite, and I have been happily married for 46 years, and together we bring a lifetime of stability, responsibility, and genuine care to every commitment we make. We are especially available during the months of January and February each year, and we promise to look after your home with 100% dedication—as if it were our very own. Respectful, trustworthy, and conscientious, we would be delighted to provide you with peace of mind while you are away.

We are a long-married, retired couple (46 years together) offering reliable, respectful, and deeply attentive house and pet sitting. As homeowners ourselves—with a much-loved holiday home—we fully understand the trust you place in someone to care for both your property and your animals.

Marguerite is a published author and widely regarded as an Animal Whisperer. Her book, Be an Animal Whisperer, is inspired by real-life experiences we have shared together—reflecting our calm, intuitive, and compassionate approach to animal care. Whether your pets are lively, shy, elderly, or need that extra sensitivity, they will be in reassuringly capable hands.

Each year, we are available for a dedicated six-week period from 5th January to 9th February, while our own home undergoes seasonal maintenance. Although we are fortunate to have family and close friends across the UK and internationally (including our four cherished grandchildren), we intentionally choose house sitting as a meaningful way to explore new surroundings while providing genuine care and presence in someone else’s home.
