Why they want to house sit

I enjoy 'slow travel' getting to know a place by living locally over a few weeks. I absolutely love the company and routine of caring for pets, it gives a rhythm to my day and there's nothing like snuggling up with a furry friend or getting know local parks on walks with them.

Their experience

Although this is my first time on mindmyhouse, I have house sat and minded pets for friends many times before. I grew up in a house full of cats and dogs (not to mention wild robins, swifts, hedgehogs and foxes in the garden). I help my mother care for two beloved dogs (Polly and Rojo) and one very elderly cat, Kitten. As both Rojo and Kitten are senior pets, they require special diets and medicine so I am very used to managing the needs of older pets.

What can they bring to the assignment

I have just started a new job in Dublin where I will be working a few days a week from home so I will be 'at home' a lot to provide tons of care and love for your pets during the day. I run an Airbnb rental myself in the west of Ireland so I understand how vital it is to feel that you can trust the person staying in your home. I have the utmost respect for the homes of others, I keep it very clean and I am more than happy to care for plants and gardens.
