About this sitter
Half Dutch, half American former academic librarian seeking to travel the world while having a quiet place to land and still get pet cuddles.
Why they want to house sit
Having grown up in rural isolation, I love to travel, but have found I do best with a quiet "home" base and time with animal companions.
Their experience
I worked at a respected Humane Society immediately after university, and it was there I learned responsible pet ownership and simple vet tech skills like vaccinations and microchipping.
I've done at least 30 pet sits, ranging from a few weeks to months. Most have been dogs and cats, from Belgian shepherds to dachshunds and Mexican hairless to Persians, but also reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs and a few birds and chickens.
What can they bring to the assignment
I am conscientious, resourceful, quiet and private. I really enjoy animals and experiencing new places in a more relaxed fashion than non-stop sightseeing, so I typically spend a lot of time with the pets. I strive to leave the home in the same or better condition as when I arrived.

Lovely calm and caring lady
Sascha looked after our cats 28.4.-12.5.2026 when we were on holiday. She is a gentle and very conscientious person. She is also well informed and knowledgable and interesting to talk to. She arrived a day early at my request to get familiarised with the cats and house. Left a day after we came back in case of travel disruption. During her stay she sent us frequent updates and pictures of the cats that kept us worry free. Upon our return the house was imacculate and cats were calm. Thank you Sascha for great help looking after our cats for us.

Absolutely Great!
Sascha is a gem! She is courteous, conscientious and reliable. From start to finish we had a seamless communication. She took great care of my cat (in fact I think he misses her), she sent updates frequently, she played with him, and she left the flat spotless and more organised than I had. I would definitely preferred her for future petsitting.
