About this sitter
Hello! We are Michelle & Robert Meyer from Maiden Rock, Wisconsin in the Midwestern region of the United States.
Together for 30 years and counting we love to travel, hike, bike, garden, explore, socialize, drink coffee, read, and snuggle with various sized furry critters. Skilled in areas ranging from home restoration to on-the-road living, stage acting to squash harvesting, wilderness trekking to chicken corralling, we've acquired a variety of experiences that have made us adaptable, responsible, and reliable. So much so that we thrive on and actively seek out new challenges, both emotional and physical.
Preferring to spend our time outside vs inside we are both extremely fit and never fail to walk or run or bike on a daily basis. We've spent months at a time enjoying van-life, bike/tenting-life, and 24/7 outdoor living so rural solitude suits us.
As fully Covid vaccinated house sitters and LGBTQIA+ allies we are simply looking for new and interesting experiences and a lot of pet snuggles. We thrive in very quiet rural areas with lots of walking/hiking options, and we also LOVE to explore historic cities. Our minds are open and our interests are varied so we encourage conversation!

Can’t imagine any better!
Our time away from home was very relaxed and stress-free with Michelle and Rob here to cover for us. We made an excellent connection with them a couple months before their house sit, and they checked in often before they even came. When they arrived it was like turning our home over to trusted friends. This is a very self sufficient couple! They supplied all their own food and were thoughtful enough to freeze what they weren’t going to use of what we had left for them. Our dog pal Rowdy had some of the best hike days of his life! Rob and Michelle were at our place for 12 days and their car never left our driveway, despite our recommendations of places to visit. They sent pics and just enough texts to put our minds at ease without overwhelming us. Rob performed several handy man tasks while here and solved a couple of nagging issues. I’m certain that he can tackle any problems that could arise and would be in good communication about it. We arrived home to the luxury of an immaculate house and a happy dog and chickens! It felt like a 5 star housekeeping service had just left and it was honestly the sweetest homecoming we’ve ever had. It also felt like we were parting ways with dear new friends that we’ll always remember fondly. If you ever have the opportunity to consider Rob and Michelle to lovingly and impeccably care for your home and pets, do not hesitate!! Grab ’em if you can, I promise you’ll be as grateful to them as we are. ??

House sitters Extrordinare!
You couldn't find two better people to look after your home and animals than Michelle and Rob. They far surpassed any expectations we could have had for house sitters. Not only are they wonderful people, they are also responsible, thoughtful, and competent. We never once had concerns about our home or our animals while we were away... which to us was an invaluable gift. We could completely relax knowing that things at home were in good hands. Michelle was great about sending emails throughout our time away, always bringing a smile with her clever anecdotes of the home and neighbourhood happenings. They fit right in with the community and were quick to become the envy of all my neighbours. Everybody they came in contact with has since sung their praises. We are all conspiring to take consecutive holidays just so we can share Michelle and Rob. It was such a gift to come home to happy and healthy animals AND a spotless home. It's been weeks since they have gone and I still smile when I open a drawer or a cupboard that was tidied and cleaned by these two. They did an incredible job in welcoming us home with an immaculate house. The garden too was looked after. They didn't hesitate to step in and mulch the crops with the threat of freezing temperatures. Our dog got plenty of exercise with Michelle and Rob with at least one walk a day. They truly love the outdoors and always included our Australian Shepard on their adventures. The cat looked well loved and the goats well fed. I'm not sure any of the animals missed us while we were gone, although I am pretty sure they all miss Rob and Michelle now. We have no reservations in recommending Michelle and Rob as house sitters and hope that in the future they will return as our stand ins while we go away on extended holidays.
