About this sitter
Marcel and I, Mareike, are in our late 30s and have been cat parents for over 5 years now. We own one elegant and kind of shy cat (Freyja) and one ball of chaos cat (Lily). I am sure you will be able to identify which is which in the pictures ;). We also sit the cats and sometimes dog of friends in our home city Hamburg. A few years ago we had a short stint on THS and had a couple sit for us as well as me sitting another cat for one week in the Frankfurt region.
Why they want to house sit
We both love animals. Marcel has owned cats all his life and I have been around horses all my life and still horse ride every week. We are looking for some time off in new places.

I've just finished a wonderful sit in Scotland for a month as well.
What can they bring to the assignment
We are knowledgeable regarding the needs of each animal, be it cats dogs or chickens/rabbits/horses. We know our way around animal medicine and how to take care of sensitive or old animals.

A wonderful House sitter
Mareike was great. We have two skittish cats and she completely got them. Arthur became her shadow and Merlin allowed her to stroke him, which is an a achievement. Mareike kept in touch but was sensitive to that fact that we couldn't always. We came home to a clean, calm home and happy cats. My partner was slightly miffed because it seemed our cats had hardly missed us (the perfect scenario). I can't recommend Mareike enough, quiet, sensitive and very warm, the perfect house/pet sitter. Thank you again.
