Friendly vet is looking for a house/pet sit during a sabbatical

About this sitter

I am a veterinarian from Germany and currently work at the university in Giessen. I'll be 40 next year and will take the opportunity to take a sabbatical in 2026. I love spending time in nature and getting to know new countries and interesting people.
Animals play a big role in my life. As a vet, I am very interested in the behavioral sector. Animal behavior is my passion.
I would be incredibly happy to have the opportunity to spend time with animals during my sabbatical.

I am absolutely reliable, tidy, patient, attentive and friendly. I don’t smoke.

I also have alopecia. This is an autoimmune condition that leads to hair loss and the reason why I often wear a turban in the photos.
But the alopecia doesn't limit me in any way :-)

Why they want to house sit

I love being surrounded by animals and would like to look after the pets of nice people during my sabbatical. I think that would be a perfect win-win solution.

Their experience

I am an animal lover through and through!
I spent my youth on horse farms and love being around animals. My beagle Ernie accompanied me for over 12 years. I also had my own Württemberg mare for 10 years.
I'm new to MindMyHouse, but I've already taken care of my friends' dogs, cats and horses while they were away. Mostly directly at their home.
I am also a veterinarian and have the relevant background.
