History Teacher on Sabbatical

About this sitter

This is the first year in 20 years I have not been teaching history and ethics to high school juniors and seniors. This "school year" has allowed me the freedom to travel and learn about historical events that I have long been fascinated; particularly from Tennessee to Massachusetts most recently!

What I appreciate in a house sit is being of use for the person or family who I can help. I am always amazed at the stories and sense of connection in my travels and the environments I am responsible.

I am an above average communicator and relish learning about the lives of others. I have been admired from former neighbors ability to landscape and gardening:)

Again, it is a creative way to travel and learn.

Their experience

Yes! Most recently I have house sat in Marion, Ma (November, January- April which included managing one of the most severe winters since the storm of 1978!

What can they bring to the assignment

As a former home owner and house sitter, I pay attention to the nature of the particular home requirements and its surroundings.
