Beyond perfect
Last night Louise and I returned from a stay in the Yucatan. It was a delightful trip and worth more comments however that isn't the purpose of this letter. But Lance's care for our dogs and home is. In fact, I was so impressed with Lance and his care for our dogs and home that the first thing I am doing this morning, after letting the dogs out and drawing a cup of coffee, is writing this review on behalf of his superb effort. Leaving your home, and the animals to which you are so very attached, is always a mixture of emotions: excitement for the coming adventure, and a concern that the dogs will be alive and the house won't burn down in your absence. Since we had only known Lance for a few days before our departure (he came a few days early to orient to routines), we had the usual familiar excitement and concern. Boy, was that concern unnecessary. After 18 days wandering the Yucatan, we returned very late to greet two overjoyed dogs and a house that had obviously received attention that even Louise and I did not usually provide. Unbelievable amounts of firewood had been cut and split and stacked by the wood stove (and outside as well), the kitchen was immaculate, and the coffee all ready in the coffee maker for this morning (thank you Lance!). There was not a thing out of place...and probably more excellent care that is to be discovered however, as I said, this is the first of the morning. So, in summary, we want Lance to return. I am sure Mia and Baillie do too. We hope to do just that in late October when we return to Mexico and we hope he continues to find the house sitting experience rewarding enough that he is still in the market. And the point for you, dear reader, is to feel immense confidence in the care for your pets and home receive should you be fortunate enough to schedule Lance's services. We are also quite happy to be directly contacted, if that is useful, about any of this.

Responsible, Reliable, Great House/pet sitter
I am grateful that Lance was available to care for my home, plants, and 5 chickens for a month. He is a former business owner, so was easy for me to check references. He kept in great contact and is a home-owner himself, so knows how to keep a home cared for. What surprised me was how meticulous he was in everything that he did. My house has never been cleaner, the chickens are completely spoiled, and coop/run kept perfect. I marked "good in the garden" because of asking Lance to tidy up after my free-range chickens should they make a mess in the yard. I highly recommend Lance as a house and pet sitter. Lance also maintained a jacuzzi in perfect order balancing the chemicals needed. He was very respectful of my personal space and belongings in the home. I feel very fortunate to have had him help me and it made my time away that much more enjoyable.
