Hi there! We’re Mark and Marina, husband and wife — a globe-trotting, animal-loving duo who’ve swapped routine for adventure and discovered that the best way to see the world is through wagging tails, happy purrs, and the comfort of a cozy home (that isn’t ours... yet!).

About Mark

I’m Mark — a retired business professional, writer, and lifelong caretaker of animals, homes, and gardens. I’ve been a homeowner, builder, and handyman — basically, if it needs fixing, maintaining, or just a good polish, I’m your guy.

Born and raised in the countryside, I’ve always lived with dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, reptiles, gardens, and outbuildings (some of which even stayed standing!). Caring for homes and loving on animals is second nature to me. I take pride in treating every home as if it were my own — minus the mortgage, of course.

Professionally, I spent years in sales and marketing, and now I’ve traded meetings for meaningful moments. I’m a writer and a spiritual wanderer with a deep love for nature, connection, and life’s big questions. Thirteen years ago, a spiritual awakening changed everything for me — and I’ve been on a journey of purpose, peace, and puppy cuddles ever since.

After living in Bend, Oregon for 27 years, I’m now embracing a nomadic lifestyle. A recent trip through four European countries stole my heart, and now I’m continuing that adventure through Italy, Spain, and France — laptop in hand, writing, connecting, and caring for beautiful souls (furry and human alike).

About Marina

Ciao! I’m Marina — Italian by birth, global citizen by heart. Fluent in Italian and English (and I can charm my way through French and Spanish when needed!), I’m a warm, social, and empathic person who can’t resist a purring cat or a wagging tail.

Animals have been part of my life forever — dogs, cats, and especially horses (sometimes pigs, cows, sheep, and goats). I’ve worked with horses professionally for years (trainer and instructor). They’ve taught me patience, intuition, and a good sense of humor (because horses definitely have one!).

Professionally, I’ve worn many hats: teacher, corporate coach, PR specialist, event planner, and Bed & Breakfast owner. I’ve organized business and sports events — including equestrian ones — and managed my own rural hospitality property in Italy. So, if your home has a few quirks or your pets have particular routines, I’m your girl to handle it all smoothly, with a smile and maybe a cappuccino in hand.

From pets to pumpkins, we have an array of experience in animals (young and old - administering medication), gardens and plants, and boy do we have a pair of green thumbs. Mark has experience building houses from top to bottom, and Marina in training horses, event planning, and housekeeping.
