About this sitter
We are Julian & Yvonne, a semi-retired, responsible, considerate, non-smoking couple married for over 30 years. We both hold dual citizenship from UK and NZ. We love to travel but miss our own cat whilst we are away. We have 2 grown up boys, one of whom is now house sitting our own rescue cat.
Julian is a semi-retired consultant in the Energy and Finance, Yvonne is now retired but previously had an eclectic career, starting life as an Engineer and finally companion driving with Driving Miss Daisy.
We have owned multiple cats over the past 35 years – both indoor and outdoor cats. We also have some experience of other animals.
We are as happy in the countryside as we are in a big city. When in NZ we have our own car. When overseas we often rent a car or happy to use public transport if available.
Why they want to house sit
We love to travel around New Zealand, UK and Europe meeting new people and enjoying the local area. We especially love to walk and explore the local culture and cafes. We miss our own cat when we are away and will give your pets as much love and attention as when you are at home.
During our stay we will keep you regularly updated with pet photos and videos so you can have peace of mind, knowing your pet is having as good a time at home as you are on holiday, and your home is being cared for as you would.

We have been house sitting for over 4 years across NZ and the UK. We have owned multiple cats over the past 35 years and are experienced with kittens through to older cats, giving medication and grooming where required.
What can they bring to the assignment
We are mature, non-smoking, responsible homeowners, so we understand about maintaining a house as well as caring for your pets. We have owned spa pools and pools, we mow the lawn, take in the post and put out the bins. We can provide medication, grooming care, and ensure an elderly kitty has enough to eat and drink. We also love playing with kittens, spending time cuddled on the sofa with your pets. And obviously keep you updated with photos and news whilst you are away to ensure peace of mind.

I couldn't recommend Yvonne and Julian highly enough. They were in contact prior to the visit and were so friendly, I knew Stevie would be in good hands. They sent me photos and videos whilst I was away so I knew he was happy. Upon my return, the house was immaculate, they had left extra food and water out in case I was delayed (which I was!) and had even left me some milk/bread etc so I'd be sorted in the morning as we arrived home in the middle of the night. I really appreciate their excellent care and would definitely book them again, should my future holidays coincide with their visits to the UK.

I cannot thank Yvonne and Julian enough for the brilliant care they gave our 3 cats (one very elderly) and our home. Communication was great, they are very warm, friendly and easy to get along with. I was given regular updates throughout the sit and we returned home after our holiday to an immaculate house. I'd give 20 out of 10 if I could! Thanks so much to you both - fingers crossed our dates may coincide for future sits!

Yvonne and Julian looked after our little beagle
Yvonne and Julian looked after our little beagle, Lila, and I would highly recommend them. Yvonne was easy to communicate with. She lives close by so was able to come over a few days before the sit to meet Lila and get the run down in person. She sent pictures and updates during the sit which was lovely. My home was clean and tidy when I returned and Lila seemed happy. I would definitely have them come again.
