About this sitter

I would like to be somewhere with easy access to nature trails, parks, and great walking or cycling routes — I love getting outside daily.

A safe, comfortable, well-maintained home — a place I can feel settled and trustworthy in.

Pets I can connect with — whether that means walks, playtime, or just being good company.

Clear communication and expectations — I want to know exactly what’s needed for pet care, household chores, and any special instructions.

Bonus: a little space for staying active — gym access, open space, or somewhere I can sneak in a workout or two.

Why they want to house sit

I’m drawn to house-sitting because it gives me the space and quiet to focus on my creative work. I’m hoping to spend uninterrupted time writing my book, diving into courses on energy healing, and going deeper into meditation practice.

At the same time, I love caring for homes and pets. In a house-sit, I’d be combining two things I’m passionate about: having the solitude I need to grow and creating a stable, loving presence for another person’s home and animals.

Their experience

I’m new to formal house-sitting, but I bring a rich foundation of life experience that translates well into caring for homes, animals, and responsibilities. Over the years I’ve:

Served seven years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a computer technician in an artillery unit — this taught me discipline, precision, accountability, and the ability to manage technical systems under pressure

Raised eight children in a rural setting — which taught me patience, organization, multitasking, and a strong work ethic

Run our own outfitting business — meaning I’m resourceful, independent, and comfortable taking on varied tasks

Trained horses for 25 years — giving me experience in animal care, handling, consistency, and safety

Lived on a hobby farm — so I’m used to maintenance, outdoor work, and managing infrastructure (tools, fences, gardens, etc.)

Worked in administration and hotel management — which taught me professionalism, scheduling, hospitality, attention to detail, and communication

So while I’m just getting started with formal sits, I feel very confident that these experiences provide me with the skills, reliability, and mindset to take excellent care of your home and pets.

What can they bring to the assignment

What I bring to a house-sit is a blend of care, stability, and intention:

Dependability & responsibility — Whether it’s pet care, home maintenance, or following your routines, I take responsibility seriously and treat your home as if it were my own.

Animal care & comfort — With years around animals, from training horses to managing life on a farm, I understand their needs for consistency, kindness, and attention.

Life experience & versatility — Raising eight children, running a business, working in hotel management and administration: I’ve worn many hats. I’m organized, resourceful, and comfortable adapting to changing needs or challenges.

Stillness & presence — My goal in having a house-sit is to use the quiet for creative and spiritual work (writing, energy healing, deep meditation). So I’ll be a calm, unobtrusive presence in your home, respecting your space and providing peaceful energy.

Excellent communication — I’ll keep you updated with messages or photos, ask clarifying questions up front, and ensure you have clear expectations set from the beginning.

Care for the property — I’ll handle household tasks, routine upkeep, and any garden or yard duties as needed. If something unexpected comes up, I’ll deal with it thoughtfully and responsibly.

Intentional energy & respect — I believe in the importance of a safe, loving environment. I bring compassion, dedication, and positive energy to both your home and your animals.

Put simply: you’ll get someone who is grounded, attentive, and fully invested in making sure your pets, your home, and your peace of mind are well cared for while I quietly tend to my own work and growth.
