About this sitter

I'm 55, I run a small branding studio remotely, and I've built my life around being able to work from wherever I am. Own car, own internet, completely self-sufficient — remote locations aren't a problem.

I thrive on routine, structure, and attention to detail. That turns out to be exactly what animals need too — consistent schedules, predictable patterns, someone who notices the small things.

I travel with Freja, my rescue husky who's nearly 14 and in her final chapter — gentle, quiet, and a calming presence for other animals. She's been my companion through every sit and she's very much part of the story.

I'm drawn to peaceful, rural places — ancient woodlands, lakes, coastlines. The right setting matters to me. I prefer longer sits where I can properly settle in, learn the routines, and give your animals time to trust me. A week is fine; a month or more is ideal.

Animal welfare is central to how I live, not just how I sit. I don't take sits from households involved in hunting or shooting, and I'm happiest with hosts who share a genuine respect for the animals in their care.

Why they want to house sit

It lets me live the way I want to — close to nature, close to animals, doing work I care about from places that feel right.

I'm not here for free accommodation. The best sits I've done have been proper exchanges — built on trust, clear communication, and mutual respect. You look after your end, I look after mine, and your animals get the care they deserve.

If that sounds like what you're looking for, drop me a message.

Their experience

I've spent the last six years living and working across the UK, Ireland, and France, largely through house-sitting. Over 30 sits so far — dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits, and fish. Every sit is different, and that's what I love about it.

I'm comfortable with medical care, including injections and complex medication schedules, and I tend to spot when something's not right early — before it becomes a problem. I've fostered rescue dogs, volunteered with animal organisations, and raised special-needs dogs of my own. My background in cognitive science means I pay close attention to behaviour and communication, which helps more than you'd expect.

I work remotely and carry my own Starlink, so I'm home virtually all day. That's not a sacrifice — quiet suits me perfectly. It means your animals get genuine, consistent company, not someone using your house as a base to go sightseeing.

What can they bring to the assignment

Constant presence: Working remotely means I'm home providing companionship, supervision, and immediate response to any needs.
Genuine expertise: From routine care to medical management, I handle complex situations calmly and competently. I notice subtle changes that might indicate health issues.

Exceptional communication: You'll receive detailed updates with photos, keeping you informed without overwhelming you. I ask questions upfront to understand exact requirements.

Peace of mind: Your home is secured, maintained, and cleaned throughout. Plants watered, mail collected, emergencies handled professionally. I treat your property as my own.

Freja's calming influence: Her gentle presence helps nervous pets relax and gives energetic dogs a playmate. She's particularly good with anxious or elderly animals.

Reliability: I honor commitments completely. I arrive when promised, follow instructions precisely, and go above expectations. Your trust is never taken lightly.

Professional approach: Clear boundaries, respect for privacy, and understanding that this is your home, not a hotel.
