About this sitter

We are Aaron and Devon, an active, animal-loving couple from Colorado who’ve spent the last decade chasing adventure and connection. Together we’ve explored 16 countries, climbed 10 mountains over 14,000 feet (4,270 meters), ridden camels across the Sahara, and sunned on beaches throughout Southeast Asia. We’re looking for house-sits that allow us to live like locals, embrace other cultures, and bring care, calm, and consistency to every home we stay in.

Why they want to house sit

After years of travel, we’ve realized two things: hotels can’t compare to the warmth of a real home, and life feels incomplete without pets to love. In 2024, we lost our beloved Golden Retriever, Salty, and while our hearts are still healing, our love for animals remains as strong as ever. House sitting lets us keep exploring the world while continuing to care for pets, tending to routines, and experiencing the rhythm of everyday life in new places.

Their experience

For the past 18 months, we’ve been walking dogs and house sitting for a local company, Amazing Pets Care, respectfully and reliably caring for a wide range of dogs and cats and maintaining homes of all types. We’ve also helped manage Aaron’s brother’s mountain farm in Colorado, feeding pigs, corralling chickens, tending a greenhouse, and keeping the farm dogs and barn cats happy and well cared for.

What can they bring to the assignment

We’re a middle-aged couple with plenty of life experience (including home ownership!) and a big love for travel and animals. Both of us are certified in Dog and Cat First Aid and CPR, so your pets are in safe hands. Aaron was an executive for a construction company for 10 years, so he’s great with carpentry, painting, tiling, roofing, and all kinds of yardwork beyond just mowing the lawn. Devon’s background as a corporate event manager means she’s detail-oriented, organized, calm in a crisis, and a great communicator. Together, we bring a mix of reliability, know-how, and genuine care to every home and pet we look after.
