About this sitter

We are Alex and Monika (36yrs old), a German couple and traveling the world. Alex is a ex-soldier and political scientist. I (Monika) have an PhD in biology, working in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently we are taking a sabbatical and are looking for house sits/pet sits anywhere, best case taking care of cats. We love exploring new places, we enjoy being in nature but also like the vibe of cities.

Why they want to house sit

Since we've been traveling for over nine months, we're looking for more peace and quiet and a place where we can, ideally, stay a little longer. We're looking for a routine with certain tasks and responsibilities. Therefore, house sits would be just right for us.

Their experience

We love animals and, above all, have extensive experience with cats. We've each had two cats in the past and had a lot of contact with cats and dogs during our long-term trip. During our long stay in Bali, we even took in a sick stray cat and nursed it back to health. Whenever possible we cuddle and feed stray animals.
In terms of house maintenance and watering plans we are also experienced. My family says I have a green thumb, and at home we have so many plants that friends say they feel like they're in the jungle. Alex is a handyman and always gets things done.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring a great deal of responsibility and respect. We have a big heart for animals and their needs. We always take great care to keep the household tidy and clean.
