Italian couple looking for a place in nature, in contact with animals

About this sitter

We are Andrea (33) and Sveva (26), a young Italian couple looking for a beautiful place surrounded by nature to spend the winter months. We live in a converted van and would be happy to live in and take care of a larger space with love and passion — especially if it involves being surrounded by animals and plants. We’re used to living immersed in natural environments, spending our days outdoors, and doing seasonal agricultural work, always trying to care for the space around us just as we already do inside our little home on wheels.

Why they want to house sit

We would like to dedicate the winter months to taking care of ourselves and the space around us, living a simple daily life that would allow us to carry out the tasks requested by our hosts while also having time to work on our personal projects with the right calm and focus. (Andrea is a musician, writer, and translator of books; Sveva is an architect and illustrator.)

Their experience

We have experience with various types of harvesting and pruning (vineyards, clementines, kiwis, artichokes, chestnuts), as well as the ability to operate heavy agricultural machinery. We’re used to living in close contact with animals and can’t wait to take care of them.

What can they bring to the assignment

We would love to be the angels of your home — bringing all our love and gratitude in exchange for a place to stay and the chance to take care of the space around us, and above all, to learn from those who have created something beautiful that might inspire us, one day, to become better human beings ourselves.
