Hi, we are Jo and Derrick,we were posties for 50years between us, so a fit couple who go out in all weathers. We live near the Lake District so enjoy camping, cycling and fell walking. We enjoy looking after animals and peoples houses while having an adventure seeing different places.

Joanne and Derrick were excellent house sitters
Joanne and Derrick were excellent house sitters. They looked after our dog Topsy superbly and communicated with us efficiently. The cottage was spotless when we returned and Topsy had obviously been very well cared for. We have no hesitation on recommending Jo and Derrick as house sitters they were great.

This was their second sit for us this year
This was their second sit for us this year. They are the easiest couple to get to know and we now view them as ‘friends’, something that we’re quite selective about and don’t do easily. It’s reassuring to be able to leave your home and pets knowing that they are well cared for and valued, something which this couple truly appreciate. On returning home the house is always lovely and clean and the pets clearly haven’t missed us at all. We really can’t rate them highly enough.

Jo and Derrick were brilliant house-sitters
Jo and Derrick were brilliant house-sitters. They looked after our labrador and our border terrier beautifully - both dogs were clearly very happy and well when we returned. The house was immaculate and Jo had washed all their bedding etc and hung it out. They had also watered our many pot-plants throughout the dry period. We had the pleasure of meeting them before we left and they were really friendly and great to deal with, and communicative during our absence. It was lovely to be able to go on holiday with such confidence that everything would be looked after and I would recommend Jo and Derrick 100%.

Easily the best house sitters we’ve ever had
Easily the best house sitters we’ve ever had. Throughout the stay we got plenty of pictures showing us how happy our animals were. Then when we got home the house was spotless and in a better condition than if we’d have stayed home. Not to mention how happy our animals were. I think we’ll be organising our future holidays around Derrick and Jos availability!

Jo and Derrick are the nicest people you could hope to meet. They took such good care of our animals and our home and kept in contact with us whilst we enjoyed our break away giving us regular updates and even photos of their walks out with our dog. Absolutely 5* in every respect and we hope they will sit for us again in future.

I’d highly recommend them
It was such a pleasure meeting Joanne and Derrick back in March,who were so quick to arrange a meet up to get familiar with kubu, introduce themselves and familiar with the house . Unfortunately the first sit didn’t go through due to Kubus health but sooooo pleased they could help us out this past weekend. Kubu was in great hands, received regular updates and house was left tidy. I’d highly recommend them as they are reliable,trustworthy and just lovely people!

Highly recommended
Jo and Derrick looked after our Husky girls for a few days and they were great. They took the girls on lots of long walks and sent us videos to let us know they were happy and well looked after. We’re hoping they can come back and look after the girls again. Highly recommended!
