I am Amelie, and currently travelling Europe. I am a digital nomad with lots of knowledge around house and garden and a strong practical streak.

Why they want to house sit

I love the "local experience" - travelling while staying as close to how I would live if I lived here. Hotels and touristy apartments don't do it for me. I love walking everywhere, and starting from a place that feels like a home is a big plus for me.
I have also many times thought about getting a dog, but with my current lifestyle it feels like that would complicate things a lot. Taking care of your pets gives me a glimpse into that companionship without having to commit full-time to finding places to stay that accept my own pets.

Their experience

I have no prior experience with keeping pets (except for my guinea pig as a kid). I am comfortable around dogs and cats, and am a fast learner, so would also be happy to learn to take care of more unusual pets, if you tell me what exactly they need.

What can they bring to the assignment

I'm often painfully honest. Some people find that very helpful, especially when they expect us to take responsibility for what they care about most. For some people, my honesty is a bit much, and that’s okay too, but then sitting your house and pets would not be a good fit for me.

I'm a practical and sensible person, happy to trouble-shoot and keep things working around your home.
