House and Cat Sitter in San Francisco

About this sitter

I love cats and am available for house sits with or without cats in San Francisco NEXT YEAR from October 2026 to March 2027. I'm originally from Germany and am in San Francisco for the winter season, working as an outdoor tour guide. I'm in San Francisco right now (until March 31, 2026), so if you're planning a longer stay away from home end 2026/beginning of 2027 we can meet in person to discuss!

Why they want to house sit

I'll be in San Francisco over the holiday season, when house and pet sitters are often needed, and am picturing myself in the company of an adorable cat (or two) here on those winter nights. In the past, friends and family have approached me to look after their properties and pets, and now I'm offering this to others as well.

Since I drive a van with our tour guests to national parks and other destinations, I underwent a criminal background check, a medical exam, am subject to alcohol and drug testing, and I have to have a clean driving record as well.

Their experience

I have done house sitting and cat sitting for friends and family multiple times. The tasks have included caring for cat(s), handling mail, paying bills, giving the house a "lived-in" appearance (lights on, opening/closing curtains, trash cans out and in on trash day, etc), caring for house plants, watering the garden, bringing the car to the shop for scheduled routine maintenance, directing/paying gardener and cleaner and refilling the pond.

What can they bring to the assignment

Reliability, punctuality, cleanliness and kindness, experience caring for different cats, appreciation for beautiful spaces and gardens and the skills and knowledge to care for them. No drinking, smoking, or drugs, and no pets of my own.
