Married 44 yrs. World travelers. Swiss (Erwin) and Swiss American (Carolyn). Available February 2026, possibly mid-January. Avid hiker/climber/trekker. (Erwin) Retiring as a Professional International Tour Guide. Prior to that entrepreneur w luxury Interior Architectural Woodwork Design business 33 yrs. Can do anything with regard to construction, renovation, maintenance inside and out, as well as lawn & garden. (Carolyn) Prior background in International w Real Estate Carolyn led our company as Broker of Swiss-American Realty World franchise and Property Management. Carolyn is retired and pursuing her painting as we travel. She has travel agency licensure, and can handle culinary as well as housekeeping and garden. Our 5 children are grown as spread across the Western USA.

Why they want to house sit

The ability to continue traveling without a lease or rental commitment, and exploring new places, unless a more permanent situation, such as caretakers, opened up that we are well suited for and can make a positive contribution to a homeowner in a place we enjoyed being.

Their experience

Very. We have completed 3 houses it’s to date; 3 months at a French Chateau outside Paris preparing it and the Manor to receive Summer guests and including preparing the lawn, 3 months in the Alpajurra in Spain outside Madrid which consisted of an Olive tree farm and huge garden, and 3 months at an Estate in Salles Sur L’Heure France being a presence on sight and lawn maintenance, trail clearing, some cooking when the owners came over from England.
