Swedish couple eager to travel and meet furry friends

Hi! We are a Swedish couple traveling together. This spring (2026) we are planning on taking a gap year (well, half year) where we want to travel and pet-sit before we start our full programs at university next fall. I'm going to study to become a radiology nurse and my partner is going to study veterinary nursing. We are both quite nerdy and like playing board games, reading and being creative. I like sewing and embroidering and my partner draws and plays the guitar. We are both quite calm people and want to travel to meet new people, experience different cultures, and of course hang out with your furry little friends.

Why they want to house sit

During spring/summer of 2026 we're taking a gap year to travel around Europe, and house-sitting seems like the best - and most fun - way to go about it, since you sometimes get to stay at places a little longer than a regular vacation, you get to live a little more like the locals as well as meet and hang out with wonderful animals.

Their experience

Yes, we both have experience with taking care of pets. Currently we have 2 cats and 1 dog (seen in the pictures) at home. I have had cats since my mid-teens, and my partner has lived with animals their entire life - they have had dogs, cats, fish, and guinea pigs. They are also very interested in animals in general - it has been one of their main interests since they were little.

What can they bring to the assignment

We'll make sure your animals get all the proper care that they need, and we provide a calm and safe environment for them, with lots of cuddles (if that's something they enjoy, of course).
As a home owner you can trust that your house is in good hands, as we will listen to your wishes and requirements as well as keep in contact with you throughout the stay.
