About this sitter

My name is Carla! I am a homesteader and homeschool teacher for my seven year old son, Leif. I look for homes that are kid friendly since he comes with me everywhere I go.

Why they want to house sit

My son is my priority; I have chosen to take a less traditional road and not hand my child over to a harmful system, and that means I must find work where he can come with me! We are each nature and animal lovers, and it gives us each a chance to practice caring for others who need care! We live on 4 acres of private property and are in the process of living in a camper while we save to build a house. We have solar power so far, and that’s not always sustainable during the winter, so we supplement during the cold months by pet and house sitting! We love to travel and explore, and so it is easy for us to come and go as the needs fit!

What can they bring to the assignment

I prioritize healthy relationships with all living beings, and so I offer love and empathy for one’s pets and home and tend to them with care and respect, treating your space as if it were our own. I’m very neat and keep a tidy house (some people make fun of me and joke that I’m OCD; it’s not true — I just enjoy cleanliness and organization). My son and I consider pets as members of the family and treat them as such, and we also love gardening and can help with yard work if need be!
