About this sitter
We are a happy, animal loving couple who decided to follow our dream of working whilst travelling. We are now resident in Portugal We have both worked in education with children and young people. We regularly care for people's pets and homes whilst they are away. We have also worked on French campsites, a Sculpture Park and farmhouses in Spain and Portugal. We've cared for animals as far afield as India.
We care about what we do and owners ask us back as when they are away their pets are happy and their homes lovely and clean when they return.
Why they want to house sit
We have left a life where we worked very hard in the same organisation for many years and we wanted a different life going where the wind took us and doing something useful and interesting as went. We love travelling and looking after homes and animals while their owners are away, it makes us feel good knowing they can relax and not worry about a thing.
Their experience
We have been looking after homes and animals for about 25 years.
We have also fostered cats until suitable new owners can be found. We also really enjoy caring for dogs including large ones and those with a nervous nature. We have also acquired a good deal of experience caring for large animal families.
We have cared for many sick animals and last year worked at a cat hospice in Tenerife.
As well as experience in caring for animals we have skills in ground and pool maintenance and are able to turn our hands to most jobs. When we are not house sitting we volunteer around the world doing an assortment of different jobs such as gardening and house maintenance.
We are adaptable and quick to learn.
What can they bring to the assignment
We take pride in what we do whatever it is. We really love the company of animals and so it's a joy to do it.
We charge only for sits local to us where the animal stays in our own home.
We are calm and resourceful and are effective problem solvers when needed. Both of us can turn our hands to basic DIY and have experience in gardening, ground and pool maintenance.
Gill has become quite a whizz at mosaicing whilst Keith is a expert weeder.

A wonderful, thoroughly experienced couple took charge of our four dogs and mountain home.
We want to say a big thank you to a lovely couple, Gill & Keith, who looked after our Cortijo and four dogs in the mountains. The house sit was for a month during August into September while we had to spend a stressful month away from our lovely dogs and home. During that time Gill kept in touch with us, it wasn't always easy for us to pick up messages, but when we could there would be updates waiting. Having Gill & Keith look after everything back here helped us enormously as we could totally trust everything into their very capable hands. We came home to four very happy dogs and a home exactly as we left it. Both Gill and Keith are very experienced, reliable and totally trustworthy and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We have also kept in touch since and I'm sure we will see them again. A house owners and pets dream
Gill and Keith are like Mary Poppins meets Dr Dolittle all rolled into one. I have a lot of animals including dogs, chickens, ducks, terrapins and fish and also have a hospice for sick and terminally ill cats (currently 14). It takes very special people to look after them all while I am away and I can honestly say Gill and Keith were superb. They are kind, caring, knowledgeable, compassionate, organised, hard working. honest, reliable. I could go on but I think you get the gist. If you are lucky enough to have them house sit for you you will come back to happy pets and a sparkling clean house. My garden has also never been weeded so well!! Thank you so much for everything you have done for us. To know everything was in such good hands ensured we had a restful holiday. xx

House/Pet sit in Andalucia
We welcomed back Gill and Keith once again, to take care of our house and animals whilst we visited family in the UK. Having already stayed at our house on a previous sit, made it all much easier and familiar for us all from day one. We received the usual reassuring weekly updayes whilst away and upon our return, found both cats and our dog, in great shape and the house super clean and tidy - again! Gilla and Keith are a great couple to have around and have a relaxed and calm approach to everything.

House/Pet sitting in Andalucia - 2 weeks in November 2016
Gillian and Keith did a great job of looking after our 2 dogs and 2 cats while we were away and the house was super clean and tidy when I got back!!! They clearly love animals and everyone enjoyed their regular walks through the Olive groves. The regular updates and photos were really helpful too. They are a nice, genuine couple and we have already rebooked them for next year!! :-) Highly recommend!

These are the best couple you could ever have to look after the house and pets. Stayed longer than we had initially arranged as we had to stay away longer than anticipated.This extra time of helping was easily arranged with them despite their having to rearrange their plans. They kept us Regularly informed on the health and welfare of our pets,giving them lots of care,cuddles and walks(for the dogs!) We felt very safe and secure in the knowledge that they would take care of everything that might crop up We highly recommend Gill & Keith and have asked them again to look after everything.
