Caring, Animal Lover with Lots of Sitting Experience

About this sitter

I’ve lived in about 15 different countries, and have traveled a lot, starting from when I was seven years old (lived in Japan and China as a child). So I’m rather adaptable to new environments and cultures. While English is my native language, I also speak French fluently, Spanish basically, and can fumble my way through shopping in a number of other languages (I can manage greetings and a few other words in most European languages).

I freelance remotely, and have been doing so for about six years now. This allows me the ability to stay in the home a lot and really offer my presence to the pets. In my free time, I enjoy being in nature (yes, I even share company with animals in the wild, but also love the trees and all Mother Nature offers), reading, or maybe watching a series or working on a coding project (I do web development on the side).

I'm generally open to anything as long as a suitable living environment is provided, along with stable internet. Each sit is an opportunity to meet new people and bond with new animals, so I remain flexible with potential sits.

Why they want to house sit

My 'nomadic' lifestyle comes with some challenges, and one caveat is not being able to have a pet of my own. I really love being with animals, and this gives me a chance to spend time with them. For that reason, I do tend to prefer sits of at least two weeks, so I actually have a chance to spend time with your pet and form a connection. It also allows me to visit new places, meet new people, and have a 'base' in a new place.

Their experience

Though new to the site, I have done many house and pet sits across many countries spanning many years. I worked with dogs professionally, as a director at a puppy rescue in Colorado, USA, from back in 2008. I have done more sits than I can count, now, probably totaling about two years of time staying in other people’s homes with their furry loved ones. I mostly sit for dogs and cats, but have also taken care of reptiles, fish, and even horses.

I truly love animals, and usually bond quickly with them. I bring experience, responsibility, and care.
