About this sitter
Hello,
My great passion is to travel the world (preferably on a yacht!) and care for animals. I am interested in house sits all over the world and in any type of place - city/ coast /countryside.
After a successful career in the corporate tech world, I now work in publishing, and work from home most of the time. I can work from anywhere, allowing me to offer my services to look after your pets and house whilst you are away.
I enjoy keeping fit, walking, going to the gym and I volunteer a lot which takes me around the country. I am a National Trust volunteer, enjoy being by the sea, and I am a qualified Orca Whale Watcher. I love dusty old books, churches, museums, history, skiing, sailing, hiking, reading and writing.
Why they want to house sit
I want people to be able to go away and leave their home with confidence. I love to travel and enjoy meeting people from different cultures. My identity is verified through AirBnB and through my work which I am happy to provide. I have no criminal record and can provide references. I love nature and animals and feel that looking after someone’s pets is a privilege.
Their experience
I have looked after many pets over the years for friends, family and neighbours I barely know. I have cared for fish, cats, dogs, chickens, gerbils, rabbits, etc. and open to offers for anything with two or four legs!
I am tidy, can fix most things, having good DIY skills, and enjoy gardening and being outdoors. If you need me to cut the grass, shovel snow, or water your plants, I am happy to do it.
What can they bring to the assignment
My personality. Caring, responsible, positive, and a can-do attitude. My AirBnB reviews often say I leave the place cleaner than I found it (oh, and that I talk a lot :) I am a good listener and will follow your instructions. You can trust me to look after your pets as though they were my own. Happy to face time or chat before the house sit and keep in touch through WhatsApp whilst you are away.

El arrived the day before I left and was easy-going about last-minute changes of plan. She kept the house clean and tidy while I was away and was happy for my builder and plumber to visit briefly in my absence, updating me afterwards. Charlie seemed very content and relaxed with her and she clearly grew fond of him during her 2 week stay. I ran out of time to plant my tomato seedlings before I left, but Ellen kindly did so for me!! We agreed beforehand that she could stay a couple of days after my return, which proved very easy, as made herself at home whilst respecting my privacy and space. I'll definitely ask her to come again!
