About this sitter

Dutch woman, 58 years old, self employed gardener for 7 years (after 20 years of researchwork for state and local government). Likes to look after and care for houses/properties and pets, amidst a green and hilly environment. I especially love walking (with or without dogs), and preparing healthy food with local products.

Why they want to house sit

After many experiences volunteering and working abroad, I know I can adapt quickly to other places, other habits and tasks. Very much used to taking care of other people's gardens, doing general maintenance around the house and petsitting, I would like to do more house and petsitting, preferably longer periods (at least two weeks), and especially in rural areas of France, for I love having a lot of space and nature around me.

Their experience

I have recently shared a two week housesitting experience with another foreign sitter in a castle in France, also doing gardening. Concerning animals, I have mainly looked after dogs, cats and chickens, both in The Netherlands as well as on several adresses in France. I also helped out on an organic sheepfarm daily, for a few weeks.

What can they bring to the assignment

All ordinary household tasks, taking care of dogs, chickens, cats, possibly other animals. Also possibly maintenance of and advice about the garden/orchard/kitchen garden.
