About this sitter

Robin was a Commercial Artist for many years working in the advertising field, and then owned his own organic, self-sufficient farm for 13 years, ploughing his paddocks with a draft horse, growing an extensive fruit orchard and vegetable gardens, making butter and cheese etc. He was also a horse-patrol officer maintaining the Rabbit Proof Fence for several years with 13 miles of fence to maintain in pristine rainforest, and some of his amazing experiences and adventures were used in his novel 'Yowie Country'. He is an avid gardener and has worked as a groundsman in several schools, with one school winning first prize in the town's gardening competition. He has also worked in the botanic gardens in Darwin, and was head gardener at a prestigious hospital in Toowoomba which also won second prize in the town's gardening competition.
Robin has also 7 novels published under the name Robin Freeman.

Diane has been living on board yachts for 45 years, used to manage small businesses for entrepreneurs, and is a qualified Natural Therapist. Like my husband I am very capable doing maintenance and repairs on our catamaran, be it mechanical, electrical, sail repairs, climbing mast for repairs etc, etc.
We are well liked and respected by people who meet us, as we are an honest, non-smoking, happy, positive retired couple who love life.

Why they want to house sit

We have lived on our catamaran for 34 years and sailed over 125,000 miles together. As we are unable to have pets or a garden on board the yacht, this is the perfect way for us to have that experience, be it worm-farms, horses, sheep, cats, dogs or fish. House-sitting also gives us the opportunity to travel and experience new places and we get to meet some lovely people along the way.

We can bring 'peace of mind' to our clients knowing that their pets, plants, gardens and home will be well looked after and loved in their absence. We are both very tidy and clean, maybe somewhat pedantic. We both take our responsibilities seriously.
