About this sitter

I love animals and am spreading my wings a bit further from home these days. I have cut back my local pet bookings so I can see more of the USA, and maybe, eventually, the world. Since I am going to travel either way, why not share my time with animals just like I do at home? I enjoy petting and playing with cats and dogs regularly.

Why they want to house sit

I have been pet-sitting through Rover for over 2 years. Feel free to check feedback and references there. That site doesn't allow for house-sitting outside of my local area, so I am exploring here for the mix of caring for animals and seeing new sites.

I am also happy to provide references you can interact with directly (call, text, email).

Their experience

30+ years experience with cats and dogs. 2+ years experience with caring for pets in my house and theirs. I consider myself a "pet-sitter" first, but I am always respectful of other's space. I leave things at least as well as I found them. Happy to assist with things like watering plants, checking mail, bringing in packages, etc.

What can they bring to the assignment

Reliable, mature, responsible, easygoing. Longtime homeowner, come with driver's license and my own car unless otherwise arranged. Independent with a wide range of problem solving skills-including when to ask for help with an issue.

I have only had to cancel one scheduled pet-sit in my history, and that was with over 6 weeks notice. Unless there's a true emergency, I will be where I am scheduled to be when (or before) I am scheduled to arrive. I will provide as much notice as possible if there is some emergency.
