About this sitter
We are a happily married couple who enjoy traveling. Scott is an early retiree with mechanical engineering and computer science roots who now runs a Handyman/tech services business (Been There. Done That. Fixed It! - donethatfixedit.com). He’s maintained and updated 6 homes, helped raise 5 kids, and taken care of countless pets including dogs, cats, lizards, birds, chickens, and guinea pigs. Animals tend to gravitate to him and birds have even landed on him, as you'll see in one of the photos!
Diane is a 25+ year RE/MAX realtor. She's also an experienced world-wide traveler who performed back in the day with Up With People. She grew up with dogs, cats, a parakeet, fish, and good old hamsters. As an adult, she was a doggie mumma to a beautiful blue-eyed husky girl, who she loved to the ripe old age of 14.
We are looking for house sits for good humans with sweet animals, nice homes and locations.
Why they want to house sit
We have been enjoying house sitting to explore different areas of this world. We enjoy pets, seeing how other people live, and house sitting helps us to get to know a community better rather than just staying in a hotel room.

What can they bring to the assignment
We love the outdoors, are active, and non-smokers. Together, we were blessed with a little-big-man rescue teacup Yorkie named Otis. He was tiny, but had a huge heart and absolutely loved every human and every dog. We tragically lost him to a car hit while on vacation in the NH White Mountains. Ironically, he had the absolute best (last) weekend of his life on that trip as we hiked the woods and biked the trails.
We now get our animal time with mom's "Pumpkin" kitty when we visit her home, and living on a wildlife reserve (Plum Island in Newbury, MA) we feed countless wild birds, bunnies, and ducks that parade into our waterfront backyard. Scott also has many "adopted" doggies and kitties that he visits with his client base as a local tech/handyman.

Absolutely fabulous sitters
Scott and Diane were absolutely fabulous sitters. I only wish they could have stayed longer!! From the start their communication was wonderful. I got photos and even a lovely video of Trix. It was really obvious she adored Scott and Diane and that always makes being away easier. Of special note was how they left the house - they brought their own Roomba to clean! Scott and Diane are amazing sitters! If I could have them on call back anytime I needed help, I would! Great communication, they arrived early to go over my kids’ routine. We highly recommend Scott and Diane to anyone looking for exceptionally reliable and attentive sitters! They excelled in every aspect of the sit ranging from diligent pet care to leaving the home in an immaculate condition. We received photo and video updates of the pets every day, and a detailed checklist before they left. We were very impressed with their attention to details as they left the house better than they found it. The pets looked like they had a blast with them. Amazing sitters
Scott and Diane were amazing sitters for my two cats! They sent daily updates with photos and videos. They were very self-sufficient. They treated my house with care and Scott went above and beyond and fixed a broken door latch and window crank which was incredibly kind. I am very grateful for their excellent care and would have them back for future sits in a heartbeat!

Warm, energetic and positive
This 6 day sit was fantastic. Scott and Diane are warm, energetic and positive people. They seem to be thoroughly enjoying their many new experiences as pet and house sitters and spoke fondly about previous pet charges and excitedly about the locations they have been to and expect to see in the future. Communication was straightforward and timely. We appreciated their attention to detail while also their relaxed attitude indicating they could manage issues that might come up with equanimity. We received daily updates including short videos which they compiled together as a parting gift. The videos let me see by the dogs’ behavior that they were both settled and happy. The house was better than when we left with our gas fireplace screen and window cleaned, refrigerator and pantry organized, and kitchen faucet tightened. We would definitely be interested in their staying with our pups again. We have no reservations about recommending them to other households.

Scott and Diane were amazing
This is our first time using a sitter and Scott and Diane were amazing. We were very anxious leaving our very spoiled dog with people we had never met before, but from our first FaceTime with them we felt very comfortable leaving Riley. We had constant communication with them both before and during the stay, of which they always responded instantly. During the stay Diane and Scott took such good care of Riley, taking him on all his favorite walks, and spent a lot of time on the beach throwing ball for him which he loves ! They figured out his weird eating habits and put up with is nighttime grumpies. These two were amazing ! They also took such good care of our house as well, it was so clean when we got home and Scott did some minor repairs for us as well !! Way above and beyond our expectations ! Not only did Riley warm up to them but I feel my husband and I made some new friends ! They even left fresh flowers on the coffee table , and they sent us a beautiful video of their days with Riley and all the adventures they did with him !! I fully recommend Scott and Diane for watching over your precious pet and house while you are away.

Truly the best ever
Diane and Scott were absolutely wonderful! They took amazing care of Huckle, Harry, Sam, and Leo — giving each of our dogs (and cats!) so much love and attention. They were especially kind and attentive with our senior dog, which meant a lot to us. They kept in touch throughout our trip, sending photos and videos so we could see how happy and relaxed everyone was. When we returned, the house was spotless — even cleaner than when we left! Diane and Scott are a lovely couple with great energy, sensitivity to animals, and a genuine kindness that shines through in everything they do. We feel so grateful to have had such experienced and caring sitters in our home. We would invite them back anytime — truly the best ever!

I highly recommend them
Scott and Diane exceeded every expectation we had. This was our first time using a sitter and we were nervous. We asked Scott and Diane to come the evening before we were to leave so we could go over the information we thought they would need. Within a half an hour we were no longer nervous. It was clear they are passionate about animals, and also passionate about being successful sitters. We received photos and updates regularly which, again, put our minds at ease. Upon returning home from our trip the house was immaculate! Our sweet dog had been loved and cared for better than we could have hoped. Scott and Diane are not just house sitters, but wonderfully kind people. All my neighbors loved them as well. I highly recommend them! PS. They set the bar VERY high
We are so grateful to Scott and Diane for taking such wonderful care of our pets and home. They spent quality time bonding with Willow, Jack and Beau and got to know their individual personalities and adapted to their daily routines. They kept us up to date with regular messages, photos and videos. We arrived home to an immaculate house. We truly appreciated all that they did to keep our home clean and tidy. Scott even put his handy man skills to the test and fixed a sliding door for us as well as fixing a broken latch at our community dog park. Their farewell video of the pets left us giggling and appreciating them all the more. I would highly recommend them and would welcome them back for future sits. A wonderful experience
We could not have been happier with Scott and Diane! Just a wonderful experience all around. They were friendly, great communication, and best of all they absolutely loved and adored our animals. They took Tucker on several walks every day, played with Idgy, took amazing care of them. They sent photos and videos all throughout the trip, and even put together a wonderful end of trip montage video with music. They watered the plants and the house was spotless and organized when we returned. What a great couple! Very happy with the experience and was such a great feeling to know our pets and home were taken such great care of so we could relax and enjoy our trip.

Hands-down, the best house and pet sitters
I still cannot express in words how grateful I am to have crossed paths with Scott and Diane. They are hands-down, the best house and pet sitters we have come across. We’ve had some good ones in the past, but nothing compares to them. Not only did they care for our three dogs with top notch love, they cared for our home as if it were theirs. We came home to replaced lightbulbs, new water filter in the refrigerator, happy hummingbirds who were enjoying fresh food. The list goes on and on, and I could write for days about how incredible these two are. Again, beyond grateful! ❤️

Scott and Diane are wonderful people that go above and beyond as house-sitters. They cared so well for our cats that I think that our fury friends missed them when we got home! Upon our return, our house was so clean, our yard was well cared for, and our plants were well attended. Diane decorated the house with beautiful fresh flower arrangements from cuttings from our yard. Scott completed a small home project we hadn’t been able to get to and asked him to help us with. Their regular text updates kept us informed, and we loved the video they sent us at the end of their stay with a fun wrap up from their time here. Our time away wasn’t without the unexpected. A large storm came through and left branches from our neighbor’s tree in a couple of yards (including ours). Scott helped our neighbors clean everything up. Our neighbor told us all about it when we returned, gave heaps of praise to Scott for his help, and told us how much she enjoyed interactions with both Scott and Diane. These two are an absolute delight! Trust us – you will want them to care for your home and pets! They are 5+++++ star house-sitters that will give you a worry-free time away. Grab them if you can
There are not enough superlatives for Scott and Diane. If I could give them a bazillion stars I would. I was their very first sit, and I can promise you....they will be very much in demand going forward. My dogs adored them both. When I got home I could tell they had a nice "vacation" with two new people who adored them. My house was spotless. They even left fresh flowers everywhere to suprise me, since they know I love having them. They are beyond thoughtful. Scott is one of the most talented men I have ever met. He can fix anything. That was an added bonus as he offered to help me with a list of things I really wanted to have done. His workmanship is exquisite. Diane is a total love. She has the kind of heart you want to have in your home. They both are an extraordinarily special couple. I felt honored to have them here, and to give them a great kick off to their new life as sitters. Grab them if you can! As I said, once the word gets out, they are going to be much in demand. I would have them back in a nano second. Also Scott made the most adorable video of Dash and Skye, set to music. Again.....they go over and beyond. My friends saw the video and said, "these two are keepers!" and I agree! I know I have two new friends for life.
