About this sitter

We are a happily married couple who enjoy traveling. Scott is an early retiree with mechanical engineering and computer science roots who now runs a Handyman/tech services business (Been There. Done That. Fixed It! - donethatfixedit.com). He’s maintained and updated 6 homes, helped raise 5 kids, and taken care of countless pets including dogs, cats, lizards, birds, chickens, and guinea pigs. Animals tend to gravitate to him and birds have even landed on him, as you'll see in one of the photos!

Diane is a 25+ year RE/MAX realtor. She's also an experienced world-wide traveler who performed back in the day with Up With People. She grew up with dogs, cats, a parakeet, fish, and good old hamsters. As an adult, she was a doggie mumma to a beautiful blue-eyed husky girl, who she loved to the ripe old age of 14.

We are looking for house sits for good humans with sweet animals, nice homes and locations.

Why they want to house sit

We have been enjoying house sitting to explore different areas of this world. We enjoy pets, seeing how other people live, and house sitting helps us to get to know a community better rather than just staying in a hotel room.

What can they bring to the assignment

We love the outdoors, are active, and non-smokers. Together, we were blessed with a little-big-man rescue teacup Yorkie named Otis. He was tiny, but had a huge heart and absolutely loved every human and every dog. We tragically lost him to a car hit while on vacation in the NH White Mountains. Ironically, he had the absolute best (last) weekend of his life on that trip as we hiked the woods and biked the trails.

We now get our animal time with mom's "Pumpkin" kitty when we visit her home, and living on a wildlife reserve (Plum Island in Newbury, MA) we feed countless wild birds, bunnies, and ducks that parade into our waterfront backyard. Scott also has many "adopted" doggies and kitties that he visits with his client base as a local tech/handyman.
