About this sitter
I'm a wanderlust accountant and Chickee is a nurse-turned-software designer. We've been together since 2013 and had been pet & housesitting as a couple since 2015. We live a nomadic lifestyle and are currently based in Austin, Texas, USA.
We typically look for longer sits typically 2 wks to a few months. But are occasionally open for shorter sits if our schedules permit.

Chickee and I had dogs growing up. She had mutts and beagles, while I had a poodle. She also grew up raising chickens & semi-adopting stray cats, and I was a regular at our friend's farm in Massachusetts. Needless to say, we are very comfortable around animals. Due to our current nomadic lifestyle, we decided not to have our own pets & sat other people's pet instead. We've sat in US, Singapore, Vietnam, and Taiwan since 2015.

We can assure you that your pets and homes will be taken care of. We're caring, proactive, and are consistently praised for our cleanliness and organization. We don't smoke, no pets, no kids. We love to garden. So if you have plants, they will be loved too! We can easily adapt to different situations and are quite handy.

Everything was great
Everything was great - communication, cleanliness of house upon return, etc. I don't have pets, but Daniel and Chickee surprised me by doing a little deep cleaning on a few appliances during their stay, which was So nice & certainly above & beyond expectations! Highly recommend!

Flexible, adaptable and responsive
Daniel and Chickee were very flexible, adaptable and responsive, and a pleasure to be with before we left. They came a day earlier so we could go over things with them and learn how to use the wood stove, which though noted in our profile, was still something different than what is present in most homes. The fact that they need some guidance here is the only reason I gave them a 4 for self-sufficient - if our home were the typical one they would have all 5's! Daniel and Chickee left our home cleaner than when they arrived and cleared and organized broken branches from a strong storm that passed through the day before we left. So our land received loving care as well. They paid attention to details and texted us to check in around anything they were unsure of. I would not hesitate to have them sit again. Daniel and Chickee were great
Daniel and Chickee were great! In the lead up to the visit they asked lots of questions and seemed to really care about our dog! When I met them to handoff the keys they were lovely and very respectful, even taking off their shoes before entering. During the visit they communicated really well and never did anything as it pertained to our dog, washing, food etc. without asking first. Really lovely people that we’d happily have back in our home!

We were impressed
We returned home yesterday to a clean home and calm, happy kitty. Daniel and wife Chickee are a delightful, easy-going couple who stayed in our Spring, Tx home for 14 nights. Daniel created WhatsApp group for smooth communication, and they kept us updated throughout the stay with photos and videos of them bonding with Mitzi. They followed instructions, watched our home tutorial videos, and even noting when landscapers were scheduled so Mitzi could be safely indoors. When the pool cleaner broke, they took it upon themselves to keep things tidy (cleaning leaves from the bottom). Chickee also handled an unfortunate cat barf incident on our new white sofa — you’d never know it happened! We appreciated they neatly stacked mail in sorted piles and kept our plants healthy. We were impressed they left us some savory snacks from their travels, sausage, a fresh batch of homemade brownies from Daniel’s grandma’s recipe as well as detailed departure note. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to meet in person to get to know better. We recommend this travel loving couple and are thankful they were available for our last minute sit.

Excellent, responsive, and caring dog sitters
Daniel and Chickee were excellent, responsive, and caring dog sitters. They took great care of our dog Bowie and our dog clearly formed a quick bond with them. They sent us regular updates and photos so we were assured that our dog was happy and well cared for. They were communicative and easy to work with. They left our house clean and tidy and communicated with us about mail. We would welcome them back!

Daniel and Chickee are very nice and very communicative, trustworthy. They took care of my pets very well when we were away. They noticed small details of my dog's changing condition, observed, paid attention for the details and deal with it. Also they observed how they behaved daily basis and let us know frequently. Really great sitters
Daniel & his wife Chickee were really great sitters. Very responsible, communicative and tried their best to win my finicky cat over which I guess they did bc he was wanting to sleep with them by the end! They left the place immaculate and even left me treats and homemade lumpia! They took great care of my cats litter robot and automated feeder & cat ftn. They were also flexible with my return date which was very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Welcome back in the future
Daniel and Chickee jumped into a difficult situation as we were scheduled for a trip and did not have sitters part of the time so we were in a hurry to secure sitters. They took great care of our 2 dogs and our home. Because we could not met in advance, we had to do all communication via whatsapp. They were flexible and willing to learn on the fly, they were willing to ask questions and received suggestions, which made the last minute situation much easier. Daniel and Chickee sent regular updates and pictures which we very much appraciated. We returned to a clean home and will certainly love to have Chickee and Daniel back in the future!

Daniel and Chickee were great house/cat sitters! They took great care of our cat sending lot of pictures and updates to ease our worries. The garden and houseplants were also well cared for and they even helped handle a refrigerator malfunction. The house was clean and we couldn't have been happier. Thanks so much!

Daniel and his wife Chickee were wonderful
Daniel was the perfect person to be in our house while we were gone. Our pet had unfortunately died a few weeks before they were scheduled to be here, but we had them stay here anyway. He and his wife Chickee were wonderful. They left our house cleaner than when they arrived. Daniel even did yard work in our back garden and raked up leaves . On top of this, he us an outstanding cook and he prepared a wonderful meal for us the night before we left.

Amazing house and pet sitters
Daniel and Chickee were amazing house and pet sitters and made leaving on my trip for a month way less stressful. While I had used a sitter before, I had never entrusted my pets and home to essentially strangers for such a long time. Looking for the right person was certainly stressful and I was quite thorough during the vetting process. When I connected with Daniel and Chickee, my worries quickly went away as their past experience proved that they were capable caretakers and respectful guests. They were also very quick to answer any questions I had and were happy to meet with me before the sit to see the apartment and my pets. During my trip Daniel and Chickee sent pictures and updates so I could tell that my dog Merry and rabbit Pip were having a great time despite me being gone. Merry is a very energetic dog and it was nice to see that they did outdoor activities with him like hiking to keep him active. On the day of my return, they made sure to take care of the pets and returned my apartment back to the way I had left it. My home was spotless and everything had been put away as I had requested, which certainly made things easier on me after a long flight home. Even my plants received incredible care while I was away and had grown more than I had expected! I am so thankful for Daniel and Chickee's care and would recommend them to anyone looking for a house sitter and will be reaching out to them in the future myself!

Daniel and Chickee are fantastic, amazing, wonderful
Daniel and Chickee are fantastic, amazing, wonderful house sitters! We feel so fortunate that they house sat for us and took such diligent care of our dogs, our home and our garden. They paid special attention to our senior dog who has several different medications and exercised and played with our younger dog who is high-energy. We really felt that they met the needs of each of our dogs well. They also communicated well with us when our senior dog stopped eating for half a day and were really responsive with how to help her. Daniel and Chickee are conscientious, trustworthy and very nice people. They were also extremely gracious when we had a family emergency and our dates shifted. They are kind, communicative, flexible and responsible. We can't say enough good things! They left our house clean and tidy. We would definitely ask them to sit for us again!

Daniel took wonderful care of our dog and our home. He learned all about our pet and our home before we left and was always quick to contact us if he had a question. He sent regular updates and pictures of our pet and it was clear that our dog was having a great time. Daniel and Chickee are delightful
Daniel and Chickee are delightful and thoughtful people, very reliable and very easy to communicate with. We had no trouble making arrangements with them for pet care. With just a week’s notice, Chickee was able to stay in our home for all of the 16 days that we were away. She took wonderful care of our indoor/outdoor cat, and left the house in immaculate condition. I can’t say enough about how her care for our cat and our home made our vacation better. Knowing that Chickee was taking such good care of things lifted our usual concern about how our very social and affectionate cat, Stella, would fare in our absence. We are crossing our fingers that Daniel and Chickee will be available when we travel next.

We can't thank Daniel enough
Daniel & Chickee were extremely easy to communicate and coordinate with prior to our vacation. This, along with their continued check-ins during our time away, put our minds at ease and assured us that our four-legged son, Smokey, and our home was well taken care of. Smokey is a large Alaskan Malamute who can be stubborn at times and Daniel was able to handle Smokey and all of his spoilt personalities with a breeze. We can't thank Daniel enough for the amazing care he provided for Smokey and our home; our place was left better than we left it and Smokey was sad to see him leave. We would have Daniel & Chickee house & pet-sit again in a heartbeat!
