About this sitter
I'm a Canadian by birth and have lived in The Netherlands, Brazil and Australia. I'm currently living in The Netherlands again. As we've always had pets ourselves, I love to take care of yours!
I am a calm and nature-loving person who has grown her own veggies and loves her daily walks.
My days are filled with reading and writing. I'm working on several books and do hope to accomplish lots of writing in a lovely, neat and tidy, warm home with your cat or (small) dog cuddled up nearby!
Why they want to house sit
I'm writing daily and it helps to focus when I am not in my own house! It's just lovely to have a pet around while working from home. As I love to travel, to be able to do house and pet sitting is ideal!

Elly is amazing in every aspect
What can I say about Elly? She is amazing in every aspect. Tidy, clean, reliable, friendly and adored our dogs. I would have no hesitation in inviting her back again for a return sit. Highly recommend her to anyone. First-class sit. My house was immaculately clean on our return. Garden was kept well too. Even our cars were hosed down from bird droppings. What more could you ask for? A very special lady is our Elly.

A wonderful sitter
Elly has been a wonderful sitter for Jax. This was my first experience of having a stranger come into my home and look after my beloved pet. Elly was sensitive to this fact and took great pains to reassure me, both in her interaction with Jax and her manner with me. She gave me twice daily feedback on how Jax was faring, sending me many endearing photos of him. On my return, I found the house spotless. Jax was relaxed, content and looking very well. Elly explored our locality with interest and delight, taking Jax on daily exploratory walks. She has shown great sensitivity and responsibility throughout her 4.5 week stay. I highly recommend her.

Elly set the bar incredibly high
Elly was our first time using a sitter. Elly (unfortunately to all future pet/home sitters) has set the bar incredibly high. She was clean, updated us almost daily, and went above and beyond in many cases to ensure our dog was commfortable and well taken care of. She left our home cleaner than it was when we left! Elly should be an immediate 'YES' on any sit you might need in the future. She is a warm, kind, and thoughtful person - and even set up an appointment to get our dog groomed! I would rate Elly 6 out of 5 if I could. We hope and look forward to potentially having Elly again in the future...should the stars ever align again on dates.
