About this sitter
We are a retired couple in our early 50's. Eric is a decorated senior officer from the Royal Canadian Air Force who retired in 2024 and Marie-Chantal is a retired educational assistant who specialized in children with autism.
We will travel around the world for the right sit duration. We prefer longer sit where we can slowly explore and enjoy the area while also giving care and attention to your pet and/or property.
Why they want to house sit
We love to and have traveled extensively. We find that Home/pet sitting allows us an opportunity to discover a country/region beyond the typical tourist places and gives us an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the culture and community.
Their experience
We owned dogs while we were raising our children. The young adult to leave the house left with Philip our Coton of Tulear, Ever since, we have been petsitting first for friends, then through various sites. We aim to match our house/pet sit with our planned travel but will also seriously consider traveling to any location in the world for a pet sit that is 3 or more weeks long.
We can look after any large property, having owned several ones before settling for our dream home in Big White Ski resort, in British Columbia. We have had the opportunity to pet sit cats, dogs, donkeys, horses, chickens and even a house pig. We have the most experience with cats and dogs as they are the most common but we are ready to discuss other kinds of animals.
What can they bring to the assignment
We are financially secure and trustworthy individuals. We have a reputation for returning the property in an impeccable state and for taking great care of the owner's pets. We take long walks daily and will bring your pets with us if allowed to. We will happily book travel once a sit is confirmed to demonstrate our commitment to you,

Absolutely Amazing Pet Sitters
We were so fortunate to have MC and Eric care for our furry family members while we were travelling to Europe. We met beforehand for a meet and greet to introduce them to our gang and show them around the property - and we matched right away. Their calm, kind nature immediately gave us confidence that our pets were in the best hands. They looked after our two dogs, Amy, our Bernese Mountain Dog, and Lou, our Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix, as well as Bruno, our pet piglet. What a joy it was to return home to a spotless house and a bunch of happy, well-cared-for animals! We can’t thank them enough for all their help, and for even embracing Bruno’s unique little piglet routines. Throughout our trip, MC and Eric stayed in touch regularly, sending updates and photos that gave us great peace of mind. Although it wasn’t originally planned, MC and Eric were eager to learn how to care for Thunder and Luva, our horses, along with the donkeys and our flock of chickens. They even took on a few shifts, feeding and open/closing gates, and seemed to truly enjoy connecting with these gentle souls. They also connected easily with our neighbours, tenants, and others who helped care for the horses, fitting seamlessly into our little community. MC and Eric went above and beyond to ensure everyone’s routines stayed consistent and that our home and animals received the same care and love we give them ourselves. We are incredibly grateful for their time, care, and genuine affection, and we sincerely hope to stay in touch. You two were simply amazing!

Without question, Eric and MC were great house sitters
Without question, Eric and MC were great house sitters. They sent numerous photos of our dogs out on activities while we were away and were really easy to communicate with. They were kind enough to tolerate the last remaining details of our bathroom reno and cut the lawn! Our house was clean and tidy when we returned. I can’t suggest them highly enough!
