Hi there! We are NatnJodie :)

We are originally from Australia, but left in 2011. International House Sitting was our full-time lifestyle from early 2013 until 2022.

Since 2023, we have enjoyed having a home base in Mexico, and now call ourselves the 'Help-out House Sitters'... but honestly, house-sitting is in our blood and we can never resist the allure of some fur-baby love, so we are always available for International House Sits.

We are semi-retired, working online as we need to, so we're happy to travel anywhere to take care of your home & beloved pets in your absence.

Aged in our mid 50's, Natalie enjoyed a 13-year career in the Australian Federal Police, and Jodie has over 20 years of experience in hotel & resort management, tourism & hospitality throughout Australia. We bring this knowledge, care & responsibility to your home.

To say we love house sitting is an understatement. It's not only been our lifestyle since 2013, we have also helped hundreds of other travel lovers become international house sitters. Alongside our online course, "The House Sitting Academy" (which we founded in 2014), we now offer one-on-one consults—sharing everything we’ve learned to help new sitters become confident, capable, and among the best in the world.

This work, along with our crypto trading and writing, also means we do require reliable and preferably high-speed internet access for any house sit we take on.

Since the majority of our time is spent working from our laptops, we would spend most of our time at home with your pet/s.

Why they want to house sit

Pets! First and foremost reason.

Also, we thrive on ever-changing environments and routines, and we have been fortunate that our internet-based business has enabled us to break free of any fixed location for work and allowed us to live and travel to wherever we please.

90% of our travels have been through house sitting since 2013 & we have absolutely loved it. To us, having experienced 10 years of back-to-back house sits with absolute ease and flow, really shows us that house sitting is part of our heartfelt purpose... and it certainly feels that way!

Their experience

We have done well over 100 house sits since 2013, throughout 30+ countries.

Along our journey, we have had to deal with extremes of climates & environments, from humid rainy season jungles, hurricane season in the Caribbean, sub-zero snow conditions in Canadian winters, to living at altitude (3000+ meters), and are equally comfortable in all.

We have also been involved in the professional training of several dogs we have minded.

Due to Jodie's background, some of our assignments have included the management of in-house staff, B&B's & holiday Gites (self-contained) for which we have been paid. Outside of such assignments, however, we DO NOT charge for our house sitting, instead being massive advocates of the fair exchange aspect of house sitting & the ‘Sharing Economy'.


OUR OWN PROPERTY EXPERIENCE -
Prior to leaving Australia, we have both owned our own homes as well as multiple investment properties between us. As such we are well used to:
• Caring for & maintaining property & households
• Chlorine & saltwater pools, Jacuzzis
• Indoor & outdoor plants, gardens, lawns, greenhouses & vegetable gardens
• Managing staff

We are a vibrant couple who love animals & nature, connection & learning about new cultures and people. We bring our unconditional love and vitality to your pets & property, spending quality time with your pet/s each day, giving them the same love & care you do.

We have both grown up with many pets in our lives since very young (including many varieties of dogs, birds, diamond pythons, and tropical & freshwater fish) so having pets & looking after them is second nature to us.

Natalie brings 13 years with the Australian Federal Police, including seven in VIP Protection looking after international Heads of State, diplomats, and politicians, and a United Nations deployment to East Timor—so she’s calm under pressure, fiercely reliable and trustworthy, and knows how to handle responsibility with care.

Jodie’s 20+ years in resort and property management, from the Aussie outback to coastal retreats, gave her a sharp eye for detail and a warm, professional approach to caring for spaces and people alike.

Between us, we bring rock-solid reliability, real-world know-how, and heart to every sit we take on.
