About this sitter

Hello! We are Katt and Chris, travelers and digital nomads.

We have been with Trusted Housesitters for several years and have listed our references from THS here.

We had some amazing sits with pets across the world. We explored the United States for four years, then spent six months in Costa Rica. We are now sitting across the UK and Ireland and looking forward to spending some time in Europe as well.

We love exploring the outdoors, food and other cultures! We are backpackers, hikers, foodies. We are also non-smokers.

Why they want to house sit

We both lost our pets the year before we set out to travel the country and we miss being around animals! It has been such a joy to spend time with so many different animals, to give them love while their owners are vacationing. It fills a little hole for us.

Their experience

Chris and Katt have jointly had a variety of experiences caring for both homes and pets. We have also been homeowners and understand the care an maintenance needed in a home.

We both have sat homes and pets in various situations including country farms and city homes. We have cared for both older dogs and puppies, large and small, as well as elderly cats and kittens...and a 70 pound African Spurred Tortoise! We have cared for as many as three large dogs and two cats in a small space for several months. We have administered medicines to both cats and dogs...and ferrets!

What can they bring to the assignment

Aside from our love of animals:

Katt has experience gardening and caring for indoor house plants, some propagation, seed harvesting and planting. She loves to cook and keeps a clean house.

Chris grew up on a farm and has experience with farm animals, including horses, goats, and chickens and has experience with large farm equipment. He also has construction experience and has worked on various house repairs and improvements.

We are both fit and capable to do chores around the farm or home, such as chopping wood, cutting grass, planting, weeding, and some minor house repairs. We have plowed snow, cleared land with tractors and we have some experience with pool maintenance as well.

We both work remotely so we can spend long hours with your pets each day. We generally will do some exploring on weekends, but always within the confines of your pet's schedule.
