About this sitter
I'm Liz! I've been taking care of pets and homes for 8 years now.
I'm a mom to two great adult kids. They live in different cities and I love to visit them as often as I can.
I understand how important it is to agree on expectations and to communicate clearly before and throughout the sit. I'm reliable, conscientious and absolutely trustworthy. I'm also generally flexible with dates, if plans change I can often accommodate.
I've run my business (web development, consulting) since 1996 and I can do that anywhere with wifi.
I'm a nonsmoker, world traveler, avid gardener, and love hanging out with cats and dogs.
Why they want to house sit
I enjoy doing it when traveling, to hang out with cool pets - mostly cats - and live "like a local" for a bit.
I prefer house sits that are accessible by public transportation, unless located on the east coast or midwest US, as I fly to most sits.
Generally i prefer to take care of pets and homes for at least a week at a time, but occasionally will do shorter sits it they fit into my travel plans.
Their experience
I have cared for many pets over the years including my own, those of my extended family, friends, by word of mouth referrals, and on THS. Those include cats, dogs, chickens, koi, and gardens/plants.
I have given cats and dogs meds, oral drops, drops in ear, pills in food.
I have cared for pets and houses all over the USA, Europe, Puerto Rico, and Asia. I've watered plants, kept things secure, brought in mail and packages, dealt with pool service and landscapers, etc.

Excellent all round!
It was clear from our first communication that Liz would be a great housesitter She is very open and clear in her written and verbal communication and as soon as we had a video call I felt very relaxed and comfortable with her as she is a really friendly open person. I knew that she would be very reliable and competent as she is so widely travelled so despite it being her first time travelling to a Greek island she was able to sort out her travel itinerary easily. Unfortunately due to major ferry problems and bad weather I was unable to leave the island on the programmed day but Liz was completely understanding and flexible despite it entailing an extra night in hotel accommodation. I was very grateful for her understanding about a very stressful situation ! When I showed Liz round the house and she met Stan for the first time I was impressed about how relaxed Stan was in her company. He clearly understood that Liz is an animal lover and I was able to leave knowing he’d be very happy in her company During her sit Liz communicated regularly with some lovely photos of Stan who as predicted took a great shine to her and snuggled up on the sofa or bed with her from the outset. On my return Liz had left the house in excellent condition everything was really neat and organised and she had taken great care of my yard and plants. I wouldn’t hesitate to have Liz back again any time! Thanks for everything Liz!

Elizabeth was a great cat sitter
Elizabeth was a great cat sitter! She sent us a lot of photos, and we could tell our kitties were happy. She communicated with us before and during the sit so we felt comfortable and relaxed. We had a typhoon come through during her stay and she took care of everything during the storm! On top of that, she is a responsible, kind, and caring person. I was able to chat with her for a while when she arrived, and we felt lucky to have her at our house. I'd highly recommend Elizabeth for any pet sit!

Liz took wonderful care of my cat Leeo for 4 days. I had just relocated to a new place, and the apartment was almost empty, which made me nervous about finding a sitter. Liz immediately reassured me that the lack of furniture wouldn’t be a problem and even arranged to arrive in the country a day before the sit to make sure everything went smoothly. Leeo was thrilled to have her around, and I came back to a clean and tidy apartment. I recommend Liz 100%, she’s reliable, thoughtful, and clearly loves animals.

Liz was our first sitter and was the perfect person to help guide us through it. Self sufficient, communicated well,
Liz sat for my 3 kitties while I was on a long weekend work trip. Prior to the sit, my cat Lily had started squinting her left eye so I took her to the vet. She was prescribed eye drops that needed to be administered 2-3 x a day. I told Liz before the sit as Lily would still need the drops while she was here. I gave her my best friends number to call just in case she had any troubles. Liz spent some time getting acquainted with my kitties and learned that the way to Lily’s heart is through play. She was able to administer the drops without trouble and sent me picture updates of how she and my other kitties were doing. All three of my cats seemed to be comfortable with her and enjoyed her company. Liz was self sufficient, communicated well, and kept my house clean while she was here.

Liz is the absolute best house and cat sitter! I was anxious about leaving my cat, Ollie, after his kidney disease diagnosis, but Liz went above and beyond to monitor every little change and kept me updated with any concerns. Her attentiveness and care truly put my mind at ease, allowing me to fully enjoy my trip. On top of that, she took such wonderful care of my home, leaving it spotless for my return.
