About this sitter
I'm a retired Merchant Marine Deck Officer. My wife, a retired teacher and I recently purchased a Dutch Barge Houseboat in the EU, and while it's on a winter mooring in the Netherlands, we've come to the UK for some training. We lived on a small farm (22 acres) in a small town on the Pacific Northwest Coast of the USA, and would like to host similar settings after our training holiday is complete before returning to the EU.
Why they want to house sit
We'd rather stay in a home than at a hotel as we're just more private people than tourists. And I'm more of a human doing rather than a human being, so having chores or duties whether at home or aboard a ship is my cup of tea. And Mary just loves the country life.
Their experience
While we've only house sat once before, we had a Airbnb cottage on our farm for several years, maintaining "Super Host" status during that time with a 4.9 rating. We know how to take care of property, and have an eye for details.
What can they bring to the assignment
