About this sitter

I keep bees, have an allotment, I’m into crafts and mind a variety of dogs for grown up kids. In a house sit I’m looking for rural or coastal locations. I enjoy gardening. I’m naturally very organised, my partner and i have sailed abroad for years on charters or flotillas. We love meeting new people and keeping things ship shape.
My partner is a self-employed appliance engineer, meeting new people every day. He loves his job but after 40 something years, semi-retired and very fit, he wants to spend more time with me.
He says the favourite part of his day at work is meeting the family pets, dogs, cats, parrots. He’s very practical and can’t walk past anything that needs fixing.

Why they want to house sit

Being semi-retired means were in no rush, were just there to relax. Meet new people and their pets. Learn local history.
We take our responsibility seriously, follow routines carefully, (pet feeding/walking routines/times etc.) and provide reliable, attentive care so homeowners can travel knowing their home and pets are in safe hands.

Their experience

While we are new to house sitting through a platform, we have 40+ years in business. My partner holds keys for multiple properties, safe lock box numbers etc., for properties he attends to carry out repairs or maintenance.
He has great relations with landlords; many he’s known for decades. We had a buy-to-let property for 10 years that we let go recently. We refurbished and maintained it ourselves and had great relations with tenants. We have 3 adult kids whose properties and pets we look after while there away.
