About this sitter
We are a couple in our mid forties who love animals and feel so lucky and privileged to have spent so much time travelling and looking after people's precious animals and homes.
We appreciate house sits where it feels like a personal experience rather than a transaction. We enjoy city breaks and rural sits especially in Portugal and Spain near where we live in Porto.
Why they want to house sit
.We love looking after pets and one day would like to have a ménagerie of our own but in the meantime this is the next best thing.

Faye and Richard were great sitters
Faye and Richard were great sitters. We had a lovely dinner together before leaving and we liked them instantly. Very nice and caring. We got back to a clean and tidy home, a happy cat and even my plants were happy! Faye was so nice to descale my coffee machine and make my bed so I could fall asleep instantly after a long driving trip. Spartipus misses them but I think we all do!!

They were fantastic - we have two elderly pups and one is deaf and rather demented. We felt extremely secure having left them in their care. They are both also super respectful of your house and everything in it. Highly recommend.

What a lovely couple
What a lovely couple. Well organised, clean and tidy, and loved our girls. What more could we ask for. This was the longest we had been away from our home, but we knew our girls and home were in safe hands. Thank you both for your love and affection (and our first night's meal when we arrived home) to us and our girls 🥰

It was a pleasure to have Faye and Richard look after our animals and home whilst we were away. They are clearly animal lovers who will genuinely care for your animals well being. They were very friendly and good communicators. We received regular updates, including photos on how our animals were. You could tell that they had made an effort to make friends and interact with them. The house was left spotless on our return. We would happily have them back again.

We would be delighted to welcome Faye and Richard again
Pip was quite content to be left in the care of Faye and Richard who took great care of him during our week away. I was very concerned by a visit from the vet which turned out to be a relatively minor issue. Nevertheless they handled the situation calmly and competently. The house was extremely clean and tidy on our return and they kindly remade their bed as we were due to have a full house. We would be delighted to welcome Faye and Richard again!

This was the second stay
This was the second stay Faye and Richard did a stay for us. We went for a short break and felt very relaxed about leaving our two dogs at home in their care. Faye was flexible when we needed to change our plans slightly which was really useful and helped us have a more enjoyable break. We did not worry about the dogs at all as Faye and Richard now know and understand their quirks. We recommend them to look after your pets while you have a fret-free break as they are very experienced and very reliable.

Faye and Richard where great sitters
Faye and Richard where great sitters. Our rescue dog took very quickly to Faye. And Faye was instantly in Love with our New Foundlander. Richard managed very well with the horses. And when we arrived at home every thing was clean and tidy. I definitely will ask them again.

Faye and Richard dropped in for a visit a couple of months before the housesit which was a great help to us. They came the night before we left to spend more time becoming familiar with the house and the dogs’ routine which enabled us to feel less anxious about leaving them. Our dogs are not the most straightforward but Faye and Richard took their various demands in their stride. They were happy to administer eye drops and medication. They kept us updated about how the dogs were and sent regular photos without inundating us. The dogs were content and relaxed when we got back. We would be happy to have Faye and Richard sit again and would highly recommend them.

Faye & Richard did a great job looking after our country home & kept us well informed as to how things were going during our month away. I couldn't have asked for better house and dog-sitters
Faye and Richard spent Christmas at our house in France in 2023. Their communication was excellent before and during the sit. Faye knew I was busy so she didn't bombard me with emails and cute pics of Motsi, just the odd one, which was exactly what was needed. Faye is a passionate cook, and despite the fact that we are temporarily living with a borrowed, and frankly useless, cooker-rose to the challenge, and cooked on the top or in the little counter top oven we have to fill in till our kitchen is replaced. All without complaint. Motsi was very happy with Faye and Richard, even after I returned she firmly sat on Faye's knee, where she knew she'd get the best cuddles. I never had a moment's worry about her care in our absence. The house was tidy when we came home, lunch was prepared, and all in all I couldn't have asked for better house and dog-sitters.

Faye and Richard were the perfect sitters
Faye and Richard were the perfect sitters, and went above and beyond. Faye came a day earlier to pick up the keys before their stay which we really appreciated. They left the flat exceptionally clean and tidy (bed stripped, fresh milk etc) and even left us a bottle of wine :) They are clearly animal lovers - they seemed to really love Charlie when they met, and we returned to a very content cat. We appreciated the regular updates and excellent communication. We can’t wait to have them back in the future! Highly highly recommended sitters!

Faye and Richard were ideal petsitters. Communication was great beforehand and during the stay and Sherlock was tired out by all the long walks ! The cats settled in well and the house was very well looked after. Faye and Richard are a pleasure all around
Faye and Richard watched our two cocker spaniels over Christmas this year. They were so wonderful and we felt really comfortable and happy knowing our dogs were in great hands with them. One of our dogs had a minor health issue while we were away and they handled it perfectly. I would love to have them come sit again — the house was incredibly well looked after and Faye and Richard are a pleasure all around!
