I’m a lifelong traveler—having visited roughly 70 countries and lived abroad for two years—and I have a deep appreciation for experiencing other people, places, cultures, and everyday traditions.
I’m a business owner in the law and technology space and a professor at Marquette Law School. I work comfortably in a remote environment and have the flexibility to spend extended time in one place while maintaining my professional responsibilities.

House sitting may be just me, or occasionally me and my wife, Melissa. We are quiet, respectful, and conscientious, and we approach house sitting with a strong sense of responsibility. I’m looking for house-sitting opportunities that fit into a remote work schedule and allow me to be present in the home—urban, suburban, or rural.
I do occasionally travel with my four-year-old granddaughter, but this would be rare and would always be discussed in advance to ensure it aligns with the homeowner’s comfort and expectations.

House sitting aligns naturally with how I like to travel and work. Rather than sightseeing-focused travel, I prefer to settle into a home and experience a place as a local—maintaining routines, caring for animals, and being part of the normal rhythm of a household.

My background as a traveler and problem-solver has made me adaptable, observant, and calm when things don’t go exactly as planned. From my perspective, house sitting is a relationship built on trust: homeowners can leave knowing their home is occupied, cared for, and respected, while I gain the opportunity to experience a place in a meaningful and grounded way.

Yes. I have house-sat informally for friends and family, and I bring extensive hands-on experience caring for property and pets. I’m a life long pet-owner. I own and maintain two historic properties dating to the 1880s, including a Queen Anne–style building that serves as my office.

These experiences have made me comfortable with older homes, unique systems, and the occasional unexpected issue. I work professionally in law and technology and have always been a problem solver—methodical, calm, and proactive when something needs attention. I’m also highly tech-savvy and comfortable with modern security, smart-home systems, and communication tools.

What can they bring to the assignment

I bring reliability, presence, and thoughtful care. Because I work remotely and am not using the sit as a base for constant travel, I’m typically home throughout the day and attentive to pets, plants, and property needs.

I’m a lifelong golden retriever owner and former cat owner, and I understand the importance of consistency, routine, and companionship for animals. I take pride in following care instructions closely and communicating clearly.
