About this sitter

I am a public middle school counselor taking a break. I adore animals and been involved with them lifelong. Earlier in life I was a volunteer (permitted) wildlife rehabilitator. (I was also treasurer of my county humane society and did follow up on dog and cat adoptions decades ago.) I also have had goldfish ponds most of my life.
I have had pet sitters myself so will take care of your pets and home as if it were my own. I know animals have emotional needs as well as physical needs to be met and individual personalities.

Why they want to house sit

I want to be around animals . I miss having a dog. I also want to travel to see what other areas , neighborhoods and communities are like. It’s interesting and refreshing to see how other people live too! I am always inspired by something I learn or see . I am very interested in assignments in mountains of NC where I may relocate one day. I find the company of animals to be sacred .

Their experience

I have had two German shepherds and 2 cats who have lived full lives with me. I also had two Pygmy goats until they died at 12 as seniors. ( few people keep goats that long- I am a forever home type person.I have had hens and a beloved rooster. Two Pekin ducks actually found me that I cherished. I have pet sitters myself. I have recently been caring for pets of neighbors and cared for injured or orphaned wildlife years ago- mostly birds. I admire horses, but do not ride. I can feed them with instructions

What can they bring to the assignment

I can bring reliable compassionate care to your home and pets. I can contact you twice a day- or more. I can take care of your home as I would my own. I am conscientious. With clear communication between us, I feel there would be success. (I will be honest in that large rambunctious dogs, giving medication to cats and keeping snakes are beyond my abilities.)
