About this sitter

I am in my 7th year with another site so I understand the responsibility and trust that comes with house and pet sitting.. I have very positive feedback and invitations to return again from wonderful homeowners. I am attentive to detail, respectful of the homes I stay in and always aim to leave things as clean (or cleaner) than I found them. Your pets and home will be in loving and capable hands with me. I am a snowbird sitter now and enjoy the flexibity and variety of opportuities that this lifestyle offers me.

Why they want to house sit

I love dogs and cats but do not have any of my own due to my gypsy like lifestyle. I have traveled a fair bit in my life having a curious mind and a zest for learning and experiencing new things
Now that I am retired I want to explore and experience new places. House/pet sitting gives me the freedom to do that and to give back a bit at what I am so good at

I originally started house sitting while I was still working as a travel nurse many years ago. I have been on another house/pet sitting site(THS) for 7 years now and have over 70 five star reviews on that site alone. My experience includes caring for dog, cats, birds, fish and chickens.

I am a reliable, self sufficient, single, non smoking female who knows the respsibility and trust that home/pet owners are seeking when they choose a sitter. Ann was fabulous

Ann was fabulous. We have two small dogs and one is extremely shy and doesn't warm up to people. However, from the moment Ann walked in, our Alli went up to her, wagged her tail and wanted to be petted. When we left, Alli and Lizzie were both cuddling with her. Ann took very good care of them and communicated with us throughout the week. I was pleasantly surprised when we returned and she had laundered the sheets and towels and had remade the bed. Ann is just excellent and I hope we get to work with her again.

Ann was fabulous with our dog Finn

Ann was fabulous with our dog Finn. This is the longest that we had left him with a complete stranger and he hardly missed us at all. He got all the exercise he needed with her and seemed very fit and happy when we returned. We had great communication throughout trip. We had our home professionally cleaned right before we left on our trip and somehow Ann seemed to still leave it even cleaner. Our house plants also seem to be healthier when we returned. Finally we were welcomed with some fresh cut flowers. Nice touch! Thanks Ann.

Although we prefer to meet in person, the timing did not work out, so we met Ann through a Zoom chat. We could tell immediately that she is self-sufficient, calm and organized. I appreciated that she checked in as the sit date approached to review our plans. When one of the door lock mechanisms broke, she contacted us and even tried to fix it, all with a cheerful attitude and sense of humor. When we returned home, our cat was happy and relaxed and our house was gleaming, with everything in place! We will be sure to ask Ann in the future, in hopes she may want to stay again.

A great experience

There is a reason that Ann has so many amazing reviews...it is because she IS amazing. Everything with our sit went extremely smooth. I enjoyed getting to talk with Ann prior to our trip, and found out we had a lot in common. We returned from our 3 week travels to find our home and kitty in excellent condition. Actually, better than excellent. Our cat was super happy, and Ann left our home in better condition that we left it. She also tending our garden and kept the 18 tomato plants going! Reliable and accommodating

We really appreciate her help

Ann helped us out enormously by staying in our home for a month with our 17 year old Balinese Sophie. She took care of Sophie and her food and water were perfect upon our return. We had an issue where our fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and Ann got up and spoke with the Fire Department and helped us remove the device from our security system! Ann and Sophie seemed to establish a happy relationship. Everything in our home was clean upon our return and we really appreciate her help!

We would highly recommend Ann

We went away to Europe for 5 weeks and left our home and our sweet golden retriever, Brin, in the care of Ann. We could not be more pleased with the care she gave our sweet dog, and she left the house in immaculate condition! Our Brin just loved her! Ann spent large quantities of time playing with her and giving her loving attention. Ann was very responsive to communication with us while we were away. Such a delight

Ann was excellent

Ann was excellent. She arrived right on time and got to know our dog, Bosco, quickly. By the time we left the next day he was parked next to her on the couch. She was quite self/sufficient and learned the few things specific to Bosco and the house quickly. Ann proved to be neat as a pin. The house was probably in better shape when we came home than when we left. Ann communicated with us just enough while we were away to keep us updated on Bosco, etc. He was a happy, healthy dog when we returned Highly recommended.

Ann was an amazing house/dog sitter. She communicated in advance of our sit. Came early the day of to visit and get to know the dogs a bit. Didn’t flinch at our paranoia in regards to our 4lb one-eyed yorkie. She seemed to keep up with their routine. We came home to a very clean house, healthy plants, and healthy happy dogs, who may have even been a bit disappointed when we walked through the door instead of Anna. Sign of a good sitter. We’d definitely have her back again.
