G'day! We're Lana & Caleb – your future trustworthy, caring, and animal-loving house sitters.

We're a down-to-earth, reliable Australian couple who are currently chasing our dream of living abroad. Together for nearly 8 years, we’re taking a much-needed pause from our full-time careers - Lana with 15 years in professional mental health education coordination, and Caleb with over 13 years of experience in customer service, horticulture, and farm work. We’re excited to slow down and immerse ourselves in new places – even with a new furry friend (or few!) by our side.

We’re the kind of people who are just as happy curled up with a book (and a cat!) and a home-cooked meal, as we are hiking through nature, seeing live music, gardening, going to museums and art galleries, or helping on our family’s farm. We love animals, travel, and being part of something meaningful - which is why house and pet sitting feels like a perfect fit for us.

A Little About Us:
I, Lana, have visited almost 40 countries and have a deep passion for discovering new cultures, sustainable travel, and recreating international cuisine. I’m a lover of history and have a special place in my heart for my heritage car and old music. Raised between the city and the country, I has fond memories of working on the land with family.
Caleb is a true green thumb - he can name nearly every rose you point at, thrives at Aussie rules football and basketball, and enjoys hands-on DIY projects. With 15 countries under his belt, he seeks new experiences and how to master them.

Why they want to house sit

We’re always up for a temporary “sea” change and have frequently house-sat for friends and family. After saying "I could really live here!" one too many times on our travels, we’re now turning that dream into a reality.

We’re drawn to this lifestyle because it allows us to connect deeply with communities, experience life in new places, and most importantly - provide genuine care for your pets and home while their families are away.

We know how much trust it takes to hand over your keys and your beloved pets. We approach every sit with the values we were raised on: respect, responsibility, and leaving things better than we found them.

Whether it's for a weekend or a few months, we’re excited to immerse ourselves in new surroundings and give you peace of mind while you’re away.

Their experience

We both grew up surrounded by animals and have cared for everything from dogs and cats to chickens, ducks, geese, cows, goats, pigs, birds and sheep. We’ve raised our own pets, and we currently co-parent our family cats, dogs and chickens.

We’re no strangers to early morning feeds, muddy paw prints, and those soul-nourishing walks and cuddles that make it all worth it. Your pets will be loved as if they were our own, and your home treated with the utmost care and respect.

What can they bring to the assignment

We bring a calm, capable, and genuinely caring presence to every house sit. As a long-term couple, we’re highly reliable, communicate clearly, and work seamlessly as a team—qualities, we’ve been told, that give homeowners real peace of mind while they’re away.

Caleb brings extensive horticultural, farm, and hands-on property experience. From maintaining gardens and caring for animals to light DIY and outdoor upkeep, he’s practical, observant, and takes pride in keeping things thriving and well-maintained.

I, Lana bring strong organisational, administration, and coordination skills, along with a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to home and pet care. With a background in professional education, marketing and project management, I am proactive, trustworthy, and excellent at following routines, instructions, and schedules.

Together, we’re confident communicators who connect easily with people from all walks of life. We provide regular updates (with photos if welcomed), are quick to flag anything out of the ordinary, and always treat homes and animals with the same respect and care we would our own.

We also have experience hosting farm stays for international visitors in Australia, which has strengthened our sense of responsibility, adaptability, and cultural awareness. For longer-term sits, we’re happy to discuss additional support such as garden projects, property coordination, or even light social media and marketing assistance if helpful.
