About this sitter
My husband and I are both retired but have recently embarked on an organic farming adventure. We have farmed all of our lives and raised three children, so it’s not a big leap, but it’s been a shift. We supply a local restaurant with everything we grow. Because we are so busy from April-October, we would like to travel during our downtime.
Why they want to house sit
Hotels/resorts, tourist attractions are not appealing to us so, house sitting is a much better fit. We prefer a more quiet getaway and one where we can get a feel for the local life.
Their experience
We have three previous house sitting experience's and I have had several with my sister, who is also retired.
What can they bring to the assignment
We have a lifetime of experience with animals (large and small) and have owned the same house/property since 1995. It has been transformed throughout those years into a beautiful, welcoming home. My husband was a Building Mechanic for Ontario Power Generation for 25 years and is extremely handy. I’ve learned so much from him that I can now fix almost any household problem on my own.

Colette and Clarence came to take care of my cat, Tiger, when I took a vacation to Florida for the month of February 2017. They took perfect care of the place and Tiger. I would highly recommend them as house-sitters/cat-sitters. They are also great people to spend time with which I did once I had returned from my vacation. Happy travels!!
