Dutch couple interested in House & Pet Sitting in Europe

Hello,

We are Annalinda and Marc, a reliable and caring couple currently living in Mariahout, the Netherlands. Over the years, we have completed several house and pet sits, which we have always found very rewarding (see dutch matchingsite: huizenoppassite.nl , we have reviews).
Being able to care for animals while discovering beautiful new places is exactly why we are active on this platform.

We both have a strong affinity with nature and animals, especially cats — from affectionate lap cats to more independent personalities. We have extensive experience caring for cats, having had cats of our own for many years. Since the passing of our last cat, Loes, we now enjoy caring for other people’s animals. We also have experience with dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters and parakeets. While we do not yet have hands-on experience with horses, we are very willing and motivated to learn.

In addition to animal care, we are comfortable taking responsibility for a property. We are tidy, calm, trustworthy, non-smokers, and we treat homes and grounds with care and respect. Watering plants, mowing lawns and carrying out light garden maintenance are tasks we enjoy and are happy to do. A property with a garden, in a green and peaceful environment, suits us very well.

Annalinda works in childcare and enjoys creative activities such as painting and sculpting, as well as yoga, meditation, walking and reading. Marc is a self-employed ICT professional, mainly working in the education sector, and is able to continue his work online when required. We enjoy walking, (vegetable) gardening and cycling together.

We are particularly interested in longer-term caretaking opportunities, such as managing or looking after a larger property or estate. A quiet, natural setting — ideally close to forests, lakes, or the sea — would be a wonderful bonus.
