About this sitter
I'm an animal- and travel-loving South African living in the UK, and am a digital nomad. I enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places, and have a love of all animals. I love a good ramble in the countryside, either on horseback or on foot. I adore animals and, having grown up with them, keenly miss owning my own pets due to rental restrictions. I would love to lavish that attention on your animals! As a digital nomad, a dedicated workspace is a must, but I have my own car so can travel pretty much anywhere!
Why they want to house sit
As a remote worker I have decided to take the opportunity to travel, and housesitting allows me to keep lonely pets company! I rented previously and started housesitting because I missed animal interaction, so decided to take the plunge and do it full time. It's important to me for you to feel comfortable while you’re gone and return to find your home as you left it.
Their experience
Having owned various types of animals from cats to horses, I am comfortable with most animals and love to interact with them. I've done housesitting for people with as little as two cats to as many as a whole farmyard, for extended periods of time (up to a month) while the owners have been away overseas.
What can they bring to the assignment
With more than 30 sits under my belt ranging from a few days to more than a month, I am a very experienced sitter who loves, and has cared for, all kinds of animals, from cats to alpacas. My aim is to ensure that you are comfortable leaving your precious pets and home in my care.

Fantastic house sitter
Catherine is a fantastic house sitter. She sent us updates of our animals every day and thoroughly spoiled our cat while we were away! She was comfortable on our remote smallholding and took initiative to keep our birds safe when bad weather rolled in. I'm fairly sure we returned to a cleaner house than we left... We'd love to have Catherine back to sit for us again in future.

Fantastic pet sitter
Catherine is a fantastic pet sitter. We were initially drawn by her as she has lots of lovely reviews and I totally could see why from the first video call we had. Catherine is very nice and we had a lovely chat before to check compatibility and for her to have a better idea of the cats. Once she was here, she was conscious of sending us a message every day about how the cats were doing and she took great care of the cats and the house. We came back after a week to a very clean house and very happy cats! We totally recommend Catherine if you are looking for a responsible and reliable car sitter. We would love for Catherine to come back :)

We were sorry not to be able to meet Catherine in person but did meet by whattsapp. She was very thoughtful in the way she looked after the house and sweet with Percy. She communicated regularly, which is what we wanted, and we would see have her to stay again!

We loved having Catherine
We loved having Catherine as our housesitter. She looked after our cats really well and fed them as requested with their little treats. She communicated every day to let us know everything was ok and sent photos which is always reassuring. She left our house clean and tidy and even washed the bedding and towels that she had used. This was much appreciated as there is always lots of washing to do when you get back of holiday. I would highly recommend her as an excellent housesitter.

Second time
It was the second time Catherine looked after our old Labradoodle Gus and our house. As before, Catherine was fantastic. She communicated well before and during her stay, sending daily updates on how Gus was doing. She dealt with Gus’ medical treatment like a professional and we knew he was in good hands with her. The house looked amazing when we came back, with all the bedding washed and dried and put back on the bed. And more importantly, we came back to a relaxed and happy pet. We can’t recommend Catherine enough and hopefully she will be able to look after Gus again in the future.

Welcome back
Catherine came to stay at our place for a week this summer. She was very easy to coordinate with ahead of time, and came a day early to get to know the animals and the house before I left as with any house, particularly in rural settings, there are strange little idiosyncrasies. In particular, we were having difficulty with our hot water heating. Catherine was able to manage this without any issue, she was also able to address a few small issues which came up after a power failure with a high degree of independence. Catherine was great with the animals and they took to her quite easily, and it was obvious to me when I got home that she had given them lots of love and care… everybody was very happy and healthy. One of our horses can be a bit aggressive at times (we have several strategies to manage this), and one needed some extra attention for a few health issues. Catherine managed both easily. I would not hesitate to recommend Catherine to anyone, and she would be welcome back to our place any time!

Catherine was brilliant. We met her the day we left and instantly felt that she was the perfect person to leave in charge of our house and cat for the whole month. A fantastic house and pet sitter
Catherine has proved to be a fantastic house and pet sitter. Our labradoodle Gus was very well looked after and clearly had a very good bond with Catherine when I returned. Catherine updated us daily with pictures which made our time away much more relaxing knowing that our dog was happy and cared for. She went far beyond what one could reasonably ask of her and even went to water my mother-in-law’s plants. She lives 10 minutes from our house. Catherine also offered to pick me up from the station and cooked us a meal! The house was spotless, and all the laundry done. We hope that we will see Catherine again in the future.

Definitely recommend
I chatted to Catherine before our sit and was confident that she would be great with our cats and chucks. She sent us pics of the cats whilst we were away and kept us updated on them. Amazing pet and flat sitter
Catherine was an amazing pet and flat sitter. She sent me daily updates, video's and photo's of Loki and Luna and it was very clear to see that they felt very comfortable with her and were loved and well cared for. Where do I start. Catherine is an absolutely outstanding housesitter. She bonded immediately with our motley crew and I had every confidence in her abilities. I was not disappointed.. she is amazing, she even stripped and washed the bedding and even replaced the logs for the log burner that she used (not required at all but just shows her amazing integrity) the cats were all extremely happy on our return. The house is spotless.. everything in tip top condition.. Catherine is a star. If you are lucky to have the opportunity to have Catherine grab it with open arms.. please return!

Absolutely fantastic
Catherine was absolutely fantastic with our dog and handled everything with ease. She was incredibly organized, attentive, and took amazing care of him. We received daily updates and adorable photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog is reactive and has separation anxiety, but Catherine managed him with confidence and patience, which we truly appreciate. She also took excellent care of our home, going the extra mile by stripping the bed and washing her sheets before leaving, which was so thoughtful. It’s clear that Catherine genuinely cares about the pets she looks after, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible and caring pet sitter, and we’d love to have her back in the future!
