Quiet 58 year old mum looking for a bit of time away (but not from dogs!) to get on with some writing

About this sitter

Hi, I am a retired teacher, mum of 4 (only one 16 year old to go!), dog, cat and chicken owner. I grow veg am preserve as much as possible and so cannot really travel much during the growing season but am hoping to get away from family duties during the quieter winter season. I am used to looking after animals (even goats) and live in a quiet part of southern Scotland about 8 miles from the town of Kirkcudbright.
My main hobbies are reading, writing am cooking and preserving food. I do Pilates, yoga and running. I do some volunteer work locally.
I would like to house sit in a rural quiet location and would ideally like to travel there by public transport. We do have two electric cars but I still believe in public transport.
I have to be pretty organised in my life here as I have a lot of commitments so ideally if I were to house sit there would be fewer commitments than I have here, so that I can focus on my writing for some of the day.

Why they want to house sit

So that I can focus on my writing for some of the day and get to know a rural area with archaeological sites I have not yet visited.
