My name is Charissa and I am the owner of Pawsome Pals Pet Care, alongside running my art business, Villtur Lucita! I work remotely and manage my own schedule, which allows me to be fully flexible and dedicate my time to caring for homes and animals wherever I am based.
I would describe myself as energetic, reliable and calm-natured. I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors, but I also appreciate peaceful environments and quiet evenings. I am very house proud, exceptionally clean and organised, and I genuinely enjoy maintaining a tidy, welcoming space!

House sitting allows me to combine two things I am extremely passionate about, animal care and travel!
Caring for animals has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I find it incredibly rewarding to build trust with pets and help them feel safe and comfortable in their own environment while their owners are away. I especially enjoy supporting pets who may feel anxious with change, as I have experience working with nervous and reactive animals.
Travel is also a big part of my lifestyle! House sitting allows me to explore new areas in a meaningful and responsible way, rather than just passing through as a tourist. I love experiencing different communities, landscapes and cultures while maintaining routine and stability for the pets I care for!

Yes, I have extensive professional and personal experience caring for a wide variety of animals!
I hold multiple animal care qualifications including diplomas in Working with Dogs, Dog Grooming, and Equine Behaviour and Management. I have also studied canine and feline behaviour, animal welfare and body language, and I am always continuing to expand my knowledge!
Alongside my qualifications, I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, livestock, birds, reptiles, small mammals, insects and fish. I have worked with animals of all ages, from young animals through to senior care, and I am experienced in supporting pets with behavioural needs such as separation anxiety, nervousness and reactivity.
I have also provided house sitting for many years for family members, neighbours and private clients, and I am very comfortable living in and maintaining other people’s homes responsibly and respectfully!

I am also highly attentive to home care! I have previous experience working as a hotel housekeeper, so cleanliness, organisation and respect for property are second nature to me. Homeowners can expect their property to be maintained to a high standard.
Because I work remotely, I am able to spend large amounts of time at home, ensuring pets receive consistent companionship and supervision throughout the day!
