About this sitter

I'm a well travelled, adaptable, retired teacher, reliable and very available! Both town and rural areas appeal to me, and I have a driving licence, although prefer public transport if possible.

Walking and being outdoors in nature are my favourite things, but I also really love folk dancing, reading, art and crafts (including sewing clothes for my two granddaughters!), films, and getting to know new people.
I volunteer at my local library in an English conversation group, and my latest jobs include work in a gift shop/gallery and as a volunteer tour guide at an old but working water mill.

Why they want to house sit

I had cats for most of my life, so looking after your house, plants and pets would be a pleasure for me. I love to experience different cultures and languages, so house-sitting would provide more opportunity for this, at the same time being useful.

Their experience

I'm new to house sitting but am experienced in looking after cats (outdoor and indoor), chickens and can milk a goat!
Living and working in different countries has made me resourceful and able to cope with all sorts of situations.

What can they bring to the assignment

I can speak English (mother tongue) French, Catalan, Spanish (ok ish) and Swahili (rusty!)
I'm reliable and I'd look after your home and pets very carefully!
