Family dementia caregiver seeking respite therapy in pet care travel

About this sitter

I am a lifelong lover of animals and pet owner. I currently live in the Cleveland, Ohio area where I am dedicated to the role of primary care coordinator to my mom who is living with Alzheimer's. I am a homeowner and DIY nerd. I am looking for house sitting gigs in the Rocky Mountain west close to where my 2 adult children live. I'm also interested in the Appalachian mountains and northeast.

Why they want to house sit

I love pets and enjoy travel. I love the outdoors, walking dogs and adventures in new places. My role as a a family caregiver does not provide the funds to travel like I had when I was a small business owner. I still love to travel however and caring for pets and property are things that I enjoy doing. I also enjoy having a private space that is part of a neighborhood community to experience new places.

Their experience

I've completed dozens of pet and house sitting gigs over the years. I've cared for healthy and not so healthy pets while their people were away. I've owned homes since 1994 and have become quite skilled at DIY home repairs and remodeling. I am quite good at observing situations where property maintenance issues arise. If I can't fix it, I can come up with a good plan to fix it.

I can bring my attention and presence to your home. You can be assured I will respect your property as my own and care for and love your pets as though they were my own. I'm reliable, meticulously on time and skilled with pets from Cats and Dogs to Chickens, Horses, Fish and Reptiles. If you have repairs that are needed, I may also be able to complete those while you are away.
