Retiring (early) responsible and relaxed house and pet sitter

About this sitter

I am a woman in her 50’s who remains curious about the world and travel. My ideal house sits will be of 2 weeks or less (don’t want my husband to get too envious) that allow me to care for cats/dog in a warm location and interesting surroundings.

Why they want to house sit

Having decided to retire early(ish) the question would be why not? I now have the ideal opportunity to visit places that we (my husband and I) have been keen to explore, with the added advantage of spending time with other people’s pets - we no longer have any of our own.

Their experience

I have experience of being a pet owner - cats and dogs - and of house / pet sitting for friends and family (unpaid). In addition, I have provided short term respite care for a number of older people with pets, in their own homes - all paid assignments.

What can they bring to the assignment

I aim to bring a sense of calm, allowing the home owner to focus and look forward to their trip. How do I do this? By being professional and genuine in my communication prior to a sit and respectful, compassionate and flexible during.
