About this sitter

I am a non smoking woman in her 50’s who remains curious about the world and travel. My ideal house sits will be of 3 weeks or less (don’t want my husband to get too envious) that allow me (or both of us if less than 7 day sit) to care for cats/dog in a warm location and interesting surroundings.

Why they want to house sit

Having decided to retire early(ish) the question would be why not? I now have the ideal opportunity to visit places that we (my husband and I) have been keen to explore, with the added advantage of spending time with other people’s pets - we no longer have any of our own.

Their experience

I have been a pet parent to a number of dogs (spaniels) and cats (all rescue) over the years. We no longer have pets of our own but in recent years have enjoyed house / pet sitting for friends and family. And where ever we go on holiday, time spent volunteer dog walking with a local rescue centre is always a must.

What can they bring to the assignment

I aim to bring a sense of calm to my sit. Ensuring that in the owners absence all pets are safe and well looked after and that their property is respected, kept clean and cared for. I also understand the importance of pet parents receiving regular photo / call updates while away and these requests will be agreed in advance. By being professional and genuine in my communication prior to a sit, I hope to build trust and have the home owner feeling confident in me.
